I know it's not that personal, but gift certificates are always good. Also, music and electronics are big this year with pre-teens. If they have ipods or mp3 players, try to get them gift certificates for music downloads on I-tunes or something similar. Hope this helps!

Electronics, music, or gift cards to Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Barnes and Nobles, I know gift cards seem impersonable, but at 10 and 12 they can go get what they want!! But if you want to wrap something, make it electronics, CD's, video games.
With clothes I would give gift cards to Old Navy or JcPenneys or Kohls, being an aunt is hard, especially at that age, but I always found that if I gave them gift cards and then told them I would take them shopping and to a movie, that they were happy and appreciated being treated like a "grown up"

Goodluck,
also, my 10 year old daughter really likes cool blankets and pillows, and chemistry sets, that is what she asked for and at the last sleepover birthday party last week, the young girl was excited because she got 3 new soft fuzzy blankets for her room.

B.,

My oldest son is 13 and my step son is 11. My nieces are around 12. Get your niece anything Bratz (they are little barbie type dolls that are really popular right now). For the 10 year old boy just think digital. See if he has a PSP and get him an accessory for that (PSP holder, etc). I know that they have digital cameras out now for kids (not sure of the price range). If they have a computer there is a ton of things to get them. Kids at these ages usually love anything that goes with a computer or a game system that they have. I know because of how many kids that I know in this age group. Ask your niece if she likes Bratz and she'll probably say "yes". Your nephew will probably have some kind of game system or something that you can get those accessories for.

I say get them the noisiest most annoying toys you can find...then tell your brother that's what he gets for not giving you any ideas...lol. I got my 8 year old a guitar with a book on how to play it...consequently my 15 year old step daughter wants the same thing...and they have them for really good prices at wal-mart. Mp3 players are good ideas too and if you shop around you can find them for reasonable prices. Personal DVD players...like they can use them in their rooms, in the car on trips...those are good buys too. V-tech has laptop computers for various age ranges that teach them things while they're having fun.

As far as the 10yr old and the 12yr old is concerned.....their interests probably include:cd's,cd roms which are games that u play on the computer,Electronics such as Playstation games or xbox games,DVd's that have the latest movies on them. The reason that I am pretty certain about these gift ideas is because I have an 11yr old son.Hope this helps.Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

If you don't know exactly what they want...and they probably don't know either...then get them each a gift card some where...Wal-Mart, the movies, toys-r-us. all great places for kids and they can pick out what they want themselves.

My cousins are 10 and 12. And we are getting the little boy a model car set, and the girl some clothing. She is getting into paying more attention to clothing. Also I think that we might get her a neclace, like one of the Walmart, gift sets. Also they have jewelry making kits that she loves.

Hope this helps!

Cranium has some GREAT games that the whole family can play together. We had Cadoo now, and my 10 yr old is asking for Conga this year. Check them out - they are fun for us adults, too!

Hooded sweatshirts (hoodies) are always good - or like the others have suggested - GIFT CARDS! Sometimes when I give gift cards, I include them with candy or fun socks, so they have something right there to enjoy, too.

Happy Holiday!
