I have a petite 17 mth old who weighs about 22lbs and a son who just turned 3 this month. My son isn't that tall and weighs about 32-35lbs at most and wanted to get suggestions on what type of stroller might work for us. I'm looking for a stroller that's not too bulky and is easy to maneuver and has a seat belt for my son. I saw good reviews on the Joovy Caboose Stand on Tandem Stroller but not sure if I like not having the option of my son being able to recline & sleep if he happened to be sleepy. Is there a stroller that actually fits that description? I'm looking to buy it used and would love to hear suggestions/opinions on strollers from ya. Thanks a bunch!!

What can I do next?

Well I don't have a double stroller, however I can help you with your request on wanting a stroller that isn't bulky. We have a Combi stroller and it is lightweight and easy to fold up, easy to carry, and is easy to maneuver and compact. I've had 2 Combi's and I love them and wouldn't buy anything else! They do make a double stroller (side by side and the other one where one child sits behind the other one). You might want to look at BabyCenter.com for reviews from people who actually own the double strollers and hear their comments on pros and cons on each one of them. I have hand and arm problems and I'm very weak, so I had to do a lot of research and testing out the strollers to have something that was lightweight. I tried all the strollers out at Babies R Us and a speciality children's store that had strollers (harder to find ones). The Combi was the lightest and the easiest to fold up also. It also has a carrying strap where you can carry it on your shoulder. I'm sure you could check out Just Between Friends (Consignment Sale) or on Ebay for some good used strollers. Good Luck!

R. P,

I have 2 month old twins and a 17 month old. We purchases the Graco duo glide. We mainly use it for the twins, but we have but our 17 mth old in the front seat with one of the twins in the back. It's not to bulky and i find it easy to manuever. The basket underneath is the length of seats.

I have the double stroller by Jeep. It holds two side by side, is lightweight, and can recline. I have used it for my two grandsons age 2 and 3, for my two year old grandson and his sister 11 months, for the 11 month old granddaughter and her 10 month old cousin. It fits well in the back of my van and it has seen a lot of use.

I have a 13 month old son who weighs about 24 pounds and a 2 1/2 daughter who weighs 26 pounds(she is very tall). We have the Combi Twin Savvy LX side by side double stroller. After testing almost every double stroller I could get my hands on I went with this one because it is light and has cup holders which is very hard to find on a double stroller. I didn't want a tandem because of the weight and since I am already pushing 50 pounds of babies I didn't want any extra. The thing that I love the most is that is tri-folds so basically it will fold down to the size of a single stroller. It handles great easy to move and again so light weight. My kids fit in it great and it comes with a infant boot for your son on both sides. I also didn't want to pay a ton of money for one and this one costs about $300.00. It really is not one you would go on hikes with needs to stay on side walks or indoors. If you are looking for a jogging stroller I love the Shwinn Joyride (its a bike trailer that turns into a double strolller).

We just purchased an Aria OH stroller made by Peg Perego for our 2 yr. old son. It is really nice! We have really enjoyed using it so far. It is very light weight, has a great size storage basket, and has cup holders. We purchased it from babycenter.com.
Hope this helps!! :)

I use the Phil and Ted's E3. I think they just came out with a newer model with the same name, but looks the same. It has a double attachment that can go on the back. There is also the option of a bassinet with the double stroller attachment on top. I've been thrilled with mine especially since I can still use it as a single if one of the boys is at school. Another use, jogging stroller. It's a bit expensive, but I thought it was worth it because of the flexibility. I have a 3 1/2 year old (~30 lbs) and a 16 month old (~20 lbs.)
