Go horseback riding! We're not horsey people at all, but have had so much fun going on trail rides.

Stuff we like to do: go to the arboretum in Dallas or the botanical gardens in Ft Worth, we like to go to musuems (have memberships to the FW Modern and the Kimball, so it's good when you have no money), community theater is not only inexpensive but good/entertaining. Surprise him by saving (in advance) for a sporting event he'd like for a "boy date" (something guys like). If time is an issue (paying for a babysitter) then we'll go to the movie tavern to watch a movie and eat dinner and a couple drinks at the same time, then we'll have some extra time to ourselves that we wouldn't have if we'd gone to a restaurant. We also take "dates" to a nice park and go for walks, enjoying pretty days and just talking, but it's something you can take the kids to do also.

I think a comedy club would be lots of fun! We're going in a couple weeks for the first time around here in Ft. Worth. We love going to sporting events (even I love it! Our first date was to a baseball game!). Or, a nice dinner at a place you wouldn't bring the kids...we love going for sushi! Sometimes even something silly that you could do with the kids is fun without them, like bowling or mini-golf!

Good luck!! Have a great time!!!

My husband and I love going to comedy clubs. We are planning for our anniversary to go stay in a hotel just for one night and go to a comedy club, dinner and maybe a piano bar. Just something that we can do without the kids but to have fun.

I know you said you didn't want dinner suggestions, but my husband & and I LOVE Simply Fondue in Lewisville! It's a little pricey, so we save it for special occasions. Having a full dinner there will take a couple of hours, so it's a good way to trap him for awhile so that he's forced to talk to you ;-) Take it from me, good food, a martini, and alot of conversation can really help strike up your relationship again.

Go to one of the pottery painting places. My husband is not crafty at all and usually hates that type of stuff, but we went once before we got married and he loved it. Now we go once a year or so and he always has a good time.
