Hi All,
My fisher price natures touch baby swing bit the dust this weekend and I was looking for suggestions for a good swing that is stimulating but also good for naps. My daughter is 12 weeks old today :)

Thanks:)

I have the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium cradle swing. $109.00 at Babies R Us. My son loved it! He loved all the entertainment and music and he also slept in it day/night for about 3 months of his little life. He is now 19 months old and he is going to have a brother coming early October. So I just tested the swing to make sure it is still in good working condition & it is! I know several others who have the same swing and they loved it as well as their children too!
I just read Christine H. post & she is willing to sell it to you that is awesome! Remember it cost $109.99 19 months ago & still does brand new of course.

Here's something that may help. If you got the swing for this baby call Fisher Price. There is an imprint on the swing and if it was manufactured in the past year (which they can tell from the # of the imprint) then they will send you a whole new motor unit. Same thing happened to me, ours wouldn't swing so we took the swing off and started using it as a floor-diaper-changing mobile. I told a friend about it and she said hers did the same and Fisher Price sent her a new upper motor unit for free. Same here. Even if it's older, it's worth a try. Here is their #, have your hold swing handy: 800-432-5437. Good Luck!

I had a Fisher Price Butterfly Papasan swing and the motor went on it. I had them send me a replacement, and that too bit the dust. I called them back and they are refunding my money for the manufacturers price. I would either try to replace it like others suggested or get your money back, assuming it's been bought within the past year. You don't need a receipt or anything to get your money back. They will have you send back specific pieces of the swing. When I'm visiting my mom's house I use my sister's oceans aquarium that others have mentioned. That one works great! She's had it for over 2 years and still works like new. Hope this helps.

You should try call the manufacturer or the number on the instructions for the swing. Back when my son was using a swing, our nieces were a little too rough w/ it and the motor broke. I called and they sent me a new motor free of charge and it came very fast. I would try that first before purchasing another. It's worth a try! Good luck!

The same thing happened to me with my nature's touch swing. I was so upset, because it served us well 3 years ago with our son.
My 8 week old daughter loved it, so I knew I need to replace it. I replaced it with another Fisher Price swing, not sure the name but it's pink with a net behind it and it's got a buterfly mobile with a star light show. It's really cute, and it plugs in!

I absolutely LOVE the Fisher Price Baby Papasan (cradle swing). It swings side to side or front to back. It is very soft. My son actually slept in it the first 4 wks of his life. I couldn't live w/out this swing. I have loaned it to friends who have felt the same way. It is also sturdy enough that he was in it until about 7-8mths when he just didnt want to be in a swing anymore.

I second the rainforest graco swing as well. It does it's normal swing but what makes it really special is that it plugs in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO MORE BATTERIES! I did a lot of research on babiesrus's website when I was shopping for one.

One of the negs that people complained about was that it doesn't swing faster. To be honest, I didn't get that comment since I felt that the speed it went at was just fine.

My daugther loved the mobile and the music!

The cadilac of swings sits in my living room. Its a graco and I have been using it everyday for 6 months. I love it. The music is not annoying and the white noise has about 6 different types.

We had I believe the Graco Rainforest Swing. I know it was the rain forest theme I just can't remember if it was a Graco, I am pretty sure it was though. You could swing back/forth and side to side in it. Our daughter loved it and it lasted quite a long time. She would only sleep in her swing up until she was 4 months old.

The motor went out on our Ocean Wonders swing, and I found this website that told us step-by-step how to replace the motor on our swing using the motor out of an Air Wick Freshmatic Express/Ultra air freshener. A $7 investment and a little bit of time, and our swing is working perfectly now. http://www.instructables.com/id/Repair-your-FisherPrice-c...

Hello there...just as another suggestion. Your baby is just about a couple of months away from not wanting or fitting in a swing. Don't spend a lot on one whatever you decide. Maybe a consignment shop? I recently needed a baby item that isn't going to get much use and I put a message out to my scrapbook club. I had one the next day for free!
