I live in Canton, Michigan. Does anybody have a suggestion for a good at risk Ob/gyn. I am relatively new to the area and didn't like the only ob/gyn I have seen so far.

What can I do next?

My friend just had twins out of St. Joe's in Ann Arbor. Her Dr. was a high risk doc. There main office is located in Canton off of Cherry Hill West of Canton Center. I would contact their office for more details. I delivered my Daughter out their and I LOVED all the Dr.s and the office staff...Good luck to you! LOL I just read the respone below...SAME DOCTOR...hope that helps!

L.,

This is the OB/GYN that I used. His name is Dr. Beemer and he is apart of the group in the Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics in Ypsilanti. It's on Golfside right by St. Joes which is where they have rights to deliver babies. http://ihacares.com/index.cfm?event=show.location&loc...

Good luck!

My OB/GYN is in Canton

Very nice and personable. I do not know the "risk" part, but she works in an office w/ other women OB/GYNs so I'm sure you can find the right fit.

I got Dr. McFarland from my neighbors... rave reviews on my street. Most of the ladies went to her.

I second IHA Canton. I saw Dr. Jodi Jones initially. Dr. Donna Hrozencik actually delivered my daughter. They are right next door to IHA Canton Pediactrics at Ridge & Cherry Hill. Quite convenient if you're looking for a pediatrician as well.

I also go to Plymouth IHA which was mentioned. I had Dr. Popp and he is wonderful. You get to know all the drs. and if your pregnancy is high risk, they can get you the dr. you need. Good luck.

University of Michigan Women's Hospital has some of the best at risk OB-GYN's in the country. The Hospital has a OB-GYN clinic and they can assign you to one of the UM doctors. Good luck!

I use Dr. Cara Spier...she is phenomenal. She had an at risk pregnancy with twins just a few years ago and she's so caring, and she's been there done that, so she understands and explains things to you. Her office is in Farmington Hills, but at least it's all freeway. I live in Van Buren and make the trip for her. She is absolutey fantastic. Also, she is a DO, which means she's had more training on the body as a whole and she will see you for day to day things as well, like a primary physician. The office number is ###-###-####. Her staff is excellent too. Good luck! :)

I'm not sure about the at risk aspect...but I have delivered two children with the Ann Arbor OB-GYN office in downtown Plymouth. My doc is Dr. Norman Gove...but all the docs in that office have been excellent. They rotate so you get to know all the docs (I think 5 or 6) and you will have whatever doc is on call if you go into labor. If you are high risk, I would imagine your doc would stick with you through delivery.
