I am thinking about purchasing an existing women's fitness franchise and have no idea how to go about it. Does anyone know where I should go to apply for a small business loan? Also, any advice would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Hi Nikki,
I got an SBA loan here in Florida back in 1998. I went through Wachovia Bank. I had to use my house as collateral. In order to get a loan you have to have a business plan for sure. Good Luck.

I believe you can get small business loans through the Small Business Association, and you qualify for a minority loan as a female.

Hi,

I would go to bank of America but also check with the NAWBO national association of women business owners www.nawbotx.org for advice and www.weusa.biz women's enterprise in Texas.

Regards,

Nikki,
I think it is very brave of you to want to start your own business. I was in the womens fitness industry for 3 years (until this year). VERY tough competition in the North Dallas area, especially Plano. Unless you have a couple mil in the bank, I would try to find a different industry. If you dont mind me asking, which fitness place are you looking at?
