Hi all, my obgyn is leaving the speciality! She recommended another doc in the practice, but she's not taking new patients. Can anyone recommend a good ob, preferably someone with experience with pregnancy in older patients and preferably at Skyridge? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, everyone, for all the great recommendations! I've made a loooong list of possibilities and I'm going to work my way through. I feel so much better now that I have something to go on other than just a name and the fact that they accept my insurance! Thanks again!

I highly recommend Dr. Patricia Brown she is based out of Littleton Hospital but delivers at Sky Ridge as well. I have been with Dr. Brown for almost 20 years and she delivered my first little girl at Sky Ridge last year. I was almost 37 at the time of my delivery. She has a small practice which I really love. She partners with another small practice and they are great as well. Good Luck!!

Would highly recommend RidgeGate OBGYN, Drs. Stallworth, Zart and Chu. Their offices are at Skyridge. I was an older home (41!), and found out very late (7 months) that I was pregnant. I had to change Drs, as mine didn't deal with high risk (41, no pre-natal care is considered high risk - go figure :-)).

Dr. Stallworth was recommended to me by another well known former OB, and he was really great. I have since recommended others to him, and they have had similar experiences. I also saw Dr. Zart during the pregnancy, and she was also excellent. I would definitely highly recommend them, esp. if you are a bit older. I showed up at 7 months, no pre-natal care, 41, and they just took it in stride, and I delivered a healthy baby girl (now 4)

Hi L. -

My ob/gyn is Jyl Voss, with the OB/Gyn center. http://www.obgyncenter.com/ They have an office in Skyridge.

She is excellent - great personality and bedside manner, and a great doctor. I was an older patient, and I know they see quite a few of those in this practice.

The other doctors in the practice are also very good.

Good luck!

Hi L. - These practitioners are at Parker Adventist, about 5 miles from SkyRidge at E470/Parker Road. They are incredibly experienced, compassionate and very likeable. The staff is friendly and efficient.

(Diane has been considering leaving the group however to practice Third World medicine. - I havent spoke to them for a while so I dont know if she ever made the decision to pursue it or not.)

Good luck in your search!

I just love Rocky Mountain OB/GYN and especially Dr. Yuko D'Ambrosia. She is only at the Skyridge office on Mondays, othewise she works out of Rose, but she is my favorite. However, there are other very good doctors at the practice as well and they are right in Skyridge. i can't seem to find their phone # as this moment but if you are interested email me back and i will get it for you. Good luck.

I see Steven Grover from OB/GYN Center. It is a large practice and all of the doctors there are wonderful. I'm expecting my 5th child and have been with this practice since I was pregnant with the oldest (almost 13). You can visit their website at www.obgyncenter.com. They deliver babies at both Skyridge and Parker Adventist.

Hi L.,
i would definitely recommend Redd Rogers. She is actually a nurse but I saw her primarily when I was pregnant with my two-year old. The doctor she worked for retired and Redd moved to Rocky Mtn Ob-Gyn who has offices in Denver at Rose and at Sky Ridge ###-###-####). She is great--knowledgeable but with a wonderful sense of humor and way to put you at ease.

btw, I had my son when I was 40.

I love the doctors at Westside Womens Care. Dr Gayle Crawford delievered two of my girls when I was considered advanced maternal age. Her associates are outstanding as well. Dr Benita Kolrud and Dr Sanders are two others I really like. Unfortunately they don't come further south than Lutheran in Wheat Ridge. I live in Littleton and visits to either office was fine.

My Sky Ridge OB/GYN left the specialty as well and referred me to Corrine Dix in the practice. Was your doctor Misha Miller? I'm due to call June 1st for an appt so hoping she's accepting patients. I'll watch this thread with interest!
