Need a New AC, Ducts and Possibly Heating Unit -- Oh JOY!

I think this may be the year we look into getting that new AC and duct work. Our unit is original to the house and, I think, is on its last leg. I'd like to start getting some quotes so we can possibly move forward. I know, I get to do all the fun stuff!

Can anyone recommend a reputable AC company or warn me of any that aren't any good? I would so appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I use A Advanced a/c & heat the owners name is Brian Linder ###-###-####. He is great he did some duct work for us last year each estimate we got was $250.00 per duct. He charged me $75.00 great deal. My mother needed to get her a/c, heater, and some duct work done. Her estimates ranged from $16,000 - $8,600, Brains company was the lowest. Everyone tried to sell her a TRAN, but he got her an Amana which came with the exact same warranty as TRAN. He is really good about being honest with you not selling you more expensive name brands just to make more money off of you. Give him a call.

We signed up for American Home Shield it was $640 a year to cover air, heat, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, pool and spa pump and many more things. If anything goes wrong with our appliances we call AHS and they will call a provider in our area. We pay a $55 service fee and they will fix the problem at no added expense, they will even replace the unit if they can not fix it. Check out their website at www.ahswarranty.com
Hope this helps

Do not use Comfort Air. In their ad they have a picture of Einstein. They are extremely high and if you do not purchase the service package after the first year then the warranty is void and no good. We purchased an a/c unit from them a couple of years ago and paid 9990.00 and now we wished we would have done things differently. We were pressed for time b/c we were scheduled to leave town 36 hours from the time our a/c broke and we were leaving our 90 yr old MIL here in the middle of the summer. So we did not have a lot of time or options. I hope this helps.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of Dallas Plumbing when we needed to purchase a new air conditioner and furnace. They were recommended by two friends.

We built our house in 2000 and we were always unhappy with the builder quality. We have practically rebuilt the house and upgraded to the quality we should have received to begin with.

My AC company is Great! Collin Air Conditioning in Plano. ###-###-####

They are fair, they know what they are doing. We replaced everything.....heat pumps, furnaces and anything else related to the ac/heating system about 3 yrs ago. On top of that.....my electric bill went down in the summer because the units are so much more efficient.

Brian will do you right.

Good Luck,
T
PS.....I am happy with my electric provider so Please no pm's trying to get my on a mlm program. No offense intended.

I can personally recommend New Air Mechanical. Donni McMasters is the owner, does all her own work and is licensed, fair, reasonable, honest and a hard working Christian woman. I have had her do work for me on several occasions, and I have also worked for her when she needs an extra pair of hands for big jobs.

Her phone # is ###-###-#### and she answers her phone all the time. Good luck!

Pearson Mechanical - Richard Howard ###-###-#### is the company to call. They have been in business for over 25 years, and they don't try to sell you junk or stuff you don't need. I love Richard and their company is all about customer service. They refer our company out for air duct cleaning, and I've met about 5 of their clients within the last 6 months, and they can't say enough good about them.
