Just like everyone else I see advertisements for all different realtors and companies. However, I want to know if anyone has had any good experiences with anyone perticular and has recommendations. I'm looking to sell my house in Fountain Valley and move out of state. I have some work to do on my house (built I think 1976) but it's a corner lot and I'm hoping to sell it quick. I need advice on what needs to be done and someone patient but is motivated. Please help!

Hi L.,

Andrea Buckley is fabulous. Many of my coworkers as well as my brother have done business with her. She's a hard worker and she won't stop until she does exactly what she promised to do. Her husband is also a realtor and he's just as great. I've dealt with 2 other realtors when I bought my house. After seeing what she did for my borhter first hand I wish I had gone through Andrea. Her number is ###-###-#### Good Luck!

Hi L.,

I have a great realtor for you!!! She's absolutely fantastic. Very trust worthy and honest, like no other. And she takes great care of her clients. We have used her for the last 15 years, as we have moved in and out of state. She's great with relocations. We are always happy to get back to OC, and have her take care of us. Here's her website, check it out and give her a call: rose4re.com I think you'll be happy you did.

Good Luck and enjoy those grandkids...

Dora Austin is a broker and realtor. She handles all her clients with so much personal care and attention. She's in her early 50s and has lots of experience. She's still able to sell homes in this slow market. She's a qualified "stager" and has an eye for detail to help show your home at its best. Her cell is ###-###-#### or email [email protected]____.com Good luck to you!!

I suggest you go online and find a person very familiar and hard working in your Fountain Valley area. You want someone who is going to be close enough to be around quickly and efficiently when you need something related to the sale. I would go on line and see what houses have sold in your close proximity and which realtor helped sell that.

I have bought and sold a lot in my 20 years and please note that there is a big difference in having someone help you buy a house and someone helping you actively market your house. I used the same realtor for both options when I lived in Virginia and they were definitely more actively involved in the purchase side than the sale side. In this buyer's market that is flooded with foreclosures, you really need someone who is going to "hit the pavement" for you running to compete with all that is out there.

So, while I don't have a name, I suggest you definitely find someone who is very active in your area, who knows your specific market and who has clients looking in Fountain Valley.

"Quick sales" aren't happening in my area unless you are willing to drop the price according to the current market issues. Have you considered renting out the place until the market stabilizes? Just a thought and I know that renting can be a pain.

BEST WISHES! I've been there, done that and been there, done that...hoping to be done! Post military life is much more stable.

I am a loan processor and work w/a realtor/broker there in Garden Grove. He is a little laid back & very patient. He is very honest - even turning away people when a loan does not make sense for them. Give him a call - we can sell your house & qualify the buyer all in one shot. My best friend's husband is the best realtor I know. His name is Mac Mackenzie, and he is in Orange County. His website is macteam.com - he is amazing, and a great guy to work with. He is the broker, and if he didn't work on your sale himself, he would know the person to give it to in his office. Good luck with your house, and the move!

Joni Newman... She is a real person that understands your needs. She is always thinking about you before her pocket book. I have maintained a friendship after our transaction because she is so great. ###-###-#### is her cell phone number. She has a degree in interior design so she knows what the buyers are looking for and how to help you get your house that way. She is also part of the RELO group and can help you find a great realtor wherever you are moving to! Wow - how was that pitch!!! :) Needless to say - She wins my vote!

Hi L.,

I'm in the mortgage business and work with some great realtors in the area. But I highly recommend as someone else mentioned, if there's any way possible, to rent out your home until the market changes (at least a year). Right now, mostly everything on the market is foreclosures and short sales. There are very few standard resales on the market. Most sellers have simply pulled off the market in this tough time. I would be happy to pass along the foreclosure data in your area to see what I mean. While there is such a surplus of inventory on the market, if you could hold onto your home and rent out rather than get short changed on your sale, you might be better off. Otherwise you might have to sell your home at such a low price it won't help you.

But I know that's not possible for everyone and you might be looking for money from your home to purchase another home. But depending on the state you're moving to, you might rent in the meantime and wait for CA prices to rise again. Other than the east coast, home prices are reasonable elsewhere and you should be able to still get a good deal elsewhere in a year or two.

Also, not that it matters, someone mentioned Craig Lampkin earlier. I didn't know he was in the business, but went to school with him in Garden Grove. He was a very good guy. Doesn't help with his realtor qualifications, but thought I'd pass along.

If you have any questions or want to see that forelosure info, my email is [email protected]____.com. I would be happy to share with you. I won't try to sell you on anything, not my style. Good luck L.! S.

I am a local Realtor (in Bellflower) and would love the opportunity to assist with suggestions to ready your home in Fountain Valley for my listing and quick sale. I too was born in the late 40's, but am fortunate to have 11 of my 13 grandkids within 20 miles of me (still don't see them often enough). The two oldest are out of state, although they are here for spring break! I can even assist you with a referral in your proposed new home area, if you need.
If you happen to have cotton fabric or sewing supplies that you will not be taking with you, I would love to have it for my Quilts of Valor project. We make quilts for our heroes when they return from Iraq and Afghanistan. I even assist the high school stundets in Long Beach earn their community service hours for graduation by making the quilts! We moved to Huntington Beach last year and LOVED our realtor. Her name is Christine Donovan and her phone number is 1-800-610-7253. She went way above and beyond in everything she did...I can't even begin to explain how easy she made our transition!
