Need a Good ENT in Southalke/Grapevine/Colleyville Area for Tongue Clip Surgery

Hi ladies! My son needs to have his tongue clipped (well the part underneath his tongue) for speech reasons and I went way out to Dallas to see an ENT. I would rather find a closer one that is recommended. I would like one that uses pediatric anethesiologists since he will need to be put under.

Anybody you all have used and love?? Also, if any of you have experience with this surgery, let me know that, too.

What can I do next?

I would suggest talking to her dentist also. If you don't have one, Dr. Sandra Armstrong in Southlake is the greatest!

My 4 year old daugther had her tongue clipped last summer. Our ENT is Dr. Bauer in Coppell -###-###-#### We had a good experience. She had her tonsils removed at the same time so the recovery was pretty difficult. She had hers clipped because of a significant articulation delay. She has been in speech for almost a year at UNT. She is progressing well, but still needs speech therapy. I am sure your school will offer speech therapy. Hope that helps.

Dr. Courtney Noell at Texas Ear Nose and Throat. Her number is ###-###-####. They have offices in Grapevine (medical bldg next to the hospital) and in Bedford. She does her surgeries at the Cook Children's outpatient center in Hurst (Mid-Cities & Precint Line). Wonderful, wonderful lady.

HI,
I just took my daughter to ENT for Children in Coppell (off 121) to see Dr. Murray and loved him! She needed tubes in her ears and the surgery center was great along with the anethesiologist (who was pediatric). They have 2 surgery centers- on in Plano and one in North Richland Hills. Another lady that takes her 2 boys to the same child care as my daughter uses this ENT as well and her older son had to have his tongue clipped and her yonger son had the tubes in his ears, but she uses Dr. Bauer (Dr. Murray's parter). Hope this helps.

Well my daughter had 4 teeth pulled and her tongue clipped yesterday. We had her pediatric dentist do it and she did just fine. He gave her versaid (sp?) and nitrus gas (sp?). She was awake but did not feel a thing. If you have a good pedi. dentist then you may consider letting the dentist do it. We had pain after we got home but she is back to her normal self this morning. I hope this helps.

Neil Williams is an ENT at Baylor Irving-Coppell (635 & MacArthur). He is AWESOME! I know several people in the Grapevine/Colleyville area that go to him. He has done ear tubes and tonsil/adenoid removal for my kids. We have not had the procedures done at a pediatric facility, so I don't think we had pediatric anethesiologists, but had no problems.

Not sure about the tongue clipping, but Dr. James Gonzales in Southlake put tubes in my daughter's ears when she was 18 months. He was wonderful - great bedside manner and so sweet to my daughter. He even personally called me at home that evening to check on her! That is just unheard of these days:) He is with Texas Ear, Nose, and Throat. The procedure was done at Harris HEB. The number to his office is ###-###-####. Good luck!

Our pediatrician recommended Dr Noell. She was great her office was at Baylor grapevine and she did the surgery next door at the surgery center. My son was 10 months when he had his surgery. It took no more than 10 minutes and he was done. She did great. We were happy. I will say that the office staph was not the best but I only had to see them twice.
