Try small sips of cold water when you first wake up - keep it in the fridge overnight...also, keep saltine crackers next to your bed and nibble on one when you first wake up, before you even sit up (or throughout the day when you feel it coming on)...Just having something plain and settling in your stomach can help sometimes.

Hello A.,
What really helped me was ginger. I bought fresh ginger root and would cut small pieces and drop it into whatever I'm drinking. You can put it into any beverage, hot or cold. It worked for me.
Also there is a slew of homeopathic remedies that might not hurt to try.
Good luck

Good Luck. The nausea wears on you. I had if for six months with each of my three pregnancies. Before you get meds for it which are all a bit dangerous, I suggest 1st avoiding your prenatal vitamins for a few days and finding if that helps. Being able to eat real food is better than taking supplements. If that helps, you may trying to eat a breakfast with protein before you take them. I found that helped.
Most of all remember it passes and is your bodies (perhaps overactive) attempt to protect your baby from toxins.

I had horrible nausea since the 5th week and was getting even worse. I tried no to morning sickness tea and astonishingly it vanished quickly.

Hi A.! Isn't it the worst?! I was sick for the entire 1st trimester. I used to keep crackers by my bedside and ate 1/2 hour before I needed to get up. I tried those bracelet things and they did nothing but hurt my wrists! The ONLY thing that worked for me was drinking straight cola syrup. I bought it at CVS in the med aisle. It was a godsend. Plus, it doesn't hurt baby. I highly recommend it! Also, I stopped with the prenatal vitamins and took children's vitamins as directed by my doctor. Good luck!

A. everyone is going to give you all kinds of advice just remember try and stick with what works for you. The one thing that helped me...I had my first son at 22, was to eat SMALL!! I had to be snacking at all times. No MEALS just small little snacks. The BRAT Diet helped me for awhile too... Bread, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. I lived on those four things for a good while anything with little to no flavorings. Just take it slow and take your time and it will pass eventually. I am pregnent with my second and it is a completly different thing, I sometimes forget that I am even pregnent. Good Luck and hang in there I promise it will get easier!!
