Hi Mommas~ I was wondering if any of you used natural progesterine cream while pregnant. I have used the suppositories before I would like to know about the cream that you rub on. If you used it how long did you use it? How many times a day did you put it on?

What can I do next?

I got some from a Compounding pharmacy and the pharmacist there said that I should apply it as needed based on how my mood was. The stuff he gave me pumps out in pre measured doses. The best thing for you would be to talk to a pharmacist for dosing info based on your needs.

(I'm editing my answer because I just saw that you said "while pregnant". But I'll leave my answer in because maybe these folks at Emerita can help you.) I use Pro Gest cream (for perimenopause) and it is great. I no longer have hot flashes, my moods have evened out (no more unreasonable rages or depression) and it's easy. Also the folks at Emerita are truly helpful. I wasn't sure of the correct dosage or schedule for me and they kept great notes on our calls and it all felt very personal. I ended up using 1/4 tsp 2X day. Not much at all and it really did the trick. They pointed out that if you use too much you'll be sleepy (which I was). Goes to show just how powerful our hormones really are! Good Luck.

Hi there,
I used it with my first pregnancy. I'm not sure if it helped, but it was peace of mind for me to know I was doing "something" to keep my pregnancy.
I've never used suppositories, but I got my cream at Whole Foods. You rub it into the thinner skin of your body (read up on it). I used it most of my pregnancy, but I think you only need to use it up to 18 weeks or so? You should not quit cold turkey- you need to wean yourself off of it. I believe I only put it on once at night, but check with a doctor before starting it to get advice.

Good luck!
T.

My hormones were completely out of wack. I didn't find this cream until much later. I use the natural progesterone cream. It is Stay in Balance 2. It comes in a pump cream and is very absorbable. I use one pump daily. There are a few different kinds. One for teens, one for women. You can buy it at the health food store. Call first. (Don't buy the jars. (different brand) There is a chemical that is transferred from the jars.) Stay in Balance 2 is a very conscious product. No bad chemicals in it. No Propylene glycol. PS the woman who created this studied with Dr Lee. the famous homone Doctor.
GOOD LUCK.

I don't know if what I used was "natural" or not. It was made by a pharmacy. It was in suppository form. 50 mg twice a day until I was 12 weeks pregnant. It worked both times!
