Natural & Organic Baby Products

What all-natural and organic baby products (shampoo, baby wash, lotion, diaper balm, etc.) would you recommend and where do you buy them? I know the big name brands (like Johnson & Johnson and Aveeno) have come out with their version of "natural" products, but they still have a lot of harsh and questionable ingredients in them. I want to use the most natural, yet effective products with my new baby.

What can I do next?

I have been using and really like the Kiss My Face products. They are paraben- and petroleum-free (the ones I use are, anyway), and are available at Whole Foods, Central Market, The Vitamin Shoppe. Their website is kissmyface.com. The ingredients of each product are listed there, with a 'glossary' for each item.

Hi T.,

Has anyone responded to you about Melaleuca's line of products - less expensive than any other natural line out there and guaranteed to be safe, non-toxic, and natural.

My babies skin was so sensitive that everything ended up giving him a rash, finally I tried the Arbonne products & it's great, leaves his hair shiny too. No smell though, which for me is good but some moms love that baby smell. For diaper rash the best thing is "triple paste" white with blue writing, it's not natural/organic but really works, I got it at Walgreens. Whole Foods also has a line of baby products that I've been meaning to try, you can get a sample pack (4 prod's) for $10 I'm definitely going to try their sunscreen this summer. Anyway, if you buy Arbonne from one of the mom's keep in mind that if you sign up as a consultant you get 30% off and can order it yourself...I don't sell it just joined for the discount. Hope this helps.

Congratulations! I shop for all of cleaning/laundry, bath & body products from a health & wellness company that I absolutely love! I chose this company because the ingredients are safer, yet more effective than the products I had been buying off the shelf at Walmart or the grocery store. My boys have really bad eczema and using these products in our home has even helped to clear up their eczema. Plus, I just feel so much better about having products in my home without known carcinogens in them. :) I'd be happy to share with you all of the information about the products. Just let me know!

California baby makes some good organic products. I use Avalon right now -- http://www.evitamins.com/product_grid.asp?brandid=Avalon -- and so far I like their products as well. Also, there seems to be a few brands you can find at central market and whole foods too.

http://www.aubrey-organics.com/ makes a large line of different products that are organic and natural. Also, http://www.miessence.com/Home.aspx has a line of products that is ALL certified organic but I don't think they have infant stuff. But they have things that will be good for you and your hubby and for when your baby is a little older. Hope this helps. It is real hard to find truly safe stuff.

I just got in the order for aubrey-organics and LOVE the baby/kid shampoo, body soap and lotion. It is wonderful. My daughters hair just shines. And the lotion is wonderful even on my hands when I am putting on them. Just thought I would let you know.

The first week my daughter was born until now at 16 months I have used California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and BodyWash and Super Sensitive Everyday Loition. Both products are Fragrant Free, No Tears and Hypoallergenic: www.californiababy.com. I have very sensitive skin and my daughter and I have never had a problem. You can purchase these products at Whole Foods, Central Market and just recently Target started carrying them. It is cheaper at Target. I also use Seventh Generation Diapers, Baby/Diaper Wipes and Baby Laundry Detergent. www.seventhgeneration.com. You can purchase these at Whole Foods, Central Market and some Krogers. For diaper rash, I use Hyland's Homeopathic Diaper Ointment: www.hyland's.com. We have never had a problem with this product. You can purchase this item at Whole Foods and Central Market. I hope this helps.
