Does anyone know a nanny service or recommend someone that would be a nanny that is trusthworthy? I am looking to find a nanny for my daughter who will be roughly 8 or 9 months old when it is time to start.

What can I do next?

hello L.,

I'm a nanny myself but I'm currently working with a family. I've been with Moms Bestfriend since 2000. They have some great nannies. Their # is ###-###-#### or web www.momsbestfriend.com. Check them out. Let them know Bea Taylor recommended. Hope this is helpful

I've always used an au pair. It's similar to a nanny in that they live-in. The young men or women come from overseas for a period of one year. They are screened and you have time to chat with them before accepting. You also have year-long support if any problems arise, instead of being on your own. Let me know if you would like any more information on this.

ctrnanny.com (choose the right nanny)

My friend Amie is a hired nanny working for them right now. She is already taken, but CTR nanny will set you up with someone right for you and your child.

hope this helps!

I found that nannies4hire.com was a great resource. You can set your parameters and the site will list possible matches in your defined area. You may have to go through a lot of profiles to come up with a few options, but it is time well-spent. There are also free resources about how to find the right nanny, questions to ask, sample contracts and background checks (which cost $ through a third-party vendor). Good luck - this is the most difficult process of my life.

I was a nanny before I became pregnant with my 2nd child and this is how my former employers found me. It gives you the option to do a background check on the person you are interested in hiring. Good luck!

We used nannies4hire.com and are absolutely thrilled with our nanny. She will be looking for something full time in late August or early September if you would like to e-mail me directly.
