I am sorry to hear you are in pain all the time & now have to deal with the fear of surgery.
Before I had any surgery I would get a second opinion. You may want to look into making an appointment to see a doctor at the Old Irving Park FREE clinic.
Learn what you can about diverticulosis online so you are educated about your condition. I understand it can be treated with medicine. Perhaps you can make some dietary changes and take probiotics (you can buy them online for the best price) daily to restore the natural balance in your tummy.
Wishing you peace & wellness.

Do you have medicaid? What about All Kids family insurance? You should probably go to the doctor, huh? I will keep you in my prayers. That is scary news, but God can take care of you and see you through it!!! We are behind in our bills and rent too. It is hard, but you need to take care of yourself so you can take care of your kids. Where are you?

Praying for you...

A. go to accesscommunityhealth.net and find a clinic there. they can get you connected to free or very low cost medical care for your whole family and into the hospital if you need it. they have 50 clinics in the chicago area. If you are in the 60302 area, they have a great clinic near North and Austin, and another near North and 1st Ave in Melrose Park.

Of course you are scared, nervous and worried. I will first say lots of prayers for you. We are fortunate to live in a country where there is lots of help. So first off, since your husband is out of work it sounds like he will take care of the kids. The next thing is to check out all the availability of food sources, coupons, government aid whatever while you recover. I wish I knew out of my head some of these right now.It sounds like the doctor feels you need to do this as awful as it sounds. I will keep thinking. I know how frightening this must be.

The food that we eat-- especially in this country --is terrible for our digestive systems. Raw dairy and raw honey can help a lot. You and your children will be healthier if you apply the principles of NOURISHING TRADITIONS by SALLY FALLON available on Amazon.com, you can help your body recover without surgery.
