I am looking for ideas for his birthday party?

and for his 1 year old pictures? I have no idea what to do for either of them. He is very active little boy.

I really want to capture his personality but he is so active, still not walking, but sure trying. I am just not sure what to do.

What can I do next?

I assume you mean 9-9-10 :) (neat birthdate tho!)

The first birthday party is really for the adults. For my daughter's first birthday we just rented a meeting room at a park (she was born in Feb, so too cold to be outside!). The theme was Baby Elmo, so I got plates & napkins with that theme and then just used color-coordinating other items. We had some child-friendly snacks (teddy grahams, etc) and other snacks & veggies for adults. Also had a cake and then a special little cake just for my daughter (smash cake!). We had family & a few friends there and we just visited & ate, then opened presents.

If there will be a lot of kids of a similar age, you might have an activity for them to do. Depending on age, maybe you could have the party at a playground so they could play.

parties are fun, and relly at this age it is up to you, I always invite the whole family over to celebrate, since he is not old enough to have "friends" of his own.

For my kids 1 yr old pictures, I always have their picture taken on my wedding train. (I had a ruffle dress so the train of my dress looks like a cloud.) I even bought angel wings for my daughter.

It was fun. I am not sure for you exactly, but I figure you might be able to modify what I do, to your own idea.

Good Luck and Happy Birthday to your little one.

As for the party, I'm not into a big 1st birthday party. He won't remember it! There is no reason at all to go nuts on this party. Invite over a small number of friends and relatives, have cake, and have a nice, relaxed time.

As for the pictures -- we went to a professional photographer when our first child was one, and she took lots of pictures on a white backdrop. Several of them involved props. We brought his favorite duck, and then she brought out a bunch of rubber ducks, and got a great picture of him crawling away with a ducky in his mouth, and another of him looking at a line of ducks and going "Sooo Big!" with his arms up in the air. We brought his favorite board books, and got a wonderful picture of him surrounded by books, and looking at one very seriously. We picked our favorites, and then she made a framed panel of four.

We loved it so much we did the same thing for our second child when he turned one. Those two panels are among my very favorite photographs ever. My husband and I were just admiring them a few days ago, and our 'babies' are 13 and 10!

are you traveling back in time?.........can you tell us some lottery numbers?

well the first bday is pretty fun.........
for the adults, i reccomend asking for clothes as presents, because he will not really care what he gets. For the first pics, you gotta get the "babies first sugar" pic.....buy or make a glorious cake and just let him "dive in", snap lots of pics of him covered in cake.

Honestly for a 1 year party I just had friends with kids close to his age come over and they just played around our house. You really can't "plan" much for them at this age. It is true, the party is more for you, but it is fun watching them eat the cake! We did cupcakes so he wouldn't get too much sugar overkill.
