My doctor told me to wear support hoes. AKA panty hose they sell the maternity ones at walmart. That was way cheaper than the harness. Let me know how it turns out.

I am also a midwife and I suggest you get one as soon as you can. I have had some clients that swear by them. I know that when i was pregnant I would have liked to have one for myself but they did not make them. My youngest is 11. Good luck with your twins!! Let us know how it goes.

I also live in sw Austin, TX. You can get a belly support at all of the maternity clothing stores at the mall. I purchased mine there and they make all of the difference in the world. Good luck.

I wore a belly support with both of my children because the weight of my belly began to really bother my back. I can't recommend them highly enough!!! I can't imagine the weight of twins!

I got mine at Special Addition near 38th and Lamar in Central Austin. It's great because they will fit you for the best support and it will make you feel so much better.

I don't recommend getting a uses support. They really take a beating and since you are having twins, you will need all your support. They are not that expensive, about $40, but worth every dime!! Hope this helps.

I am a practitioner of Maya Abdominal Massage (I have a member perk on mamasource, so you can look in there and then link to my reviews and my website). In this technique, we use what is called a faja (pronounced fa-ha), and also give care especially for the uterus at all phases of women's cycles. The massage has shown to decrease labor times, etc. The faja is traditional to Mayan women, and my clients find it to be much more comfortable than the modern types. I see you are a massage therapist, and an integral and most important part of the work is self-massage that I teach each person I see.
