My husband works for Macys. And he is getting so frustrated they treat him horriblie. they get mad at him if he can not help every custumer who comes through his department. Today they scheduled him as the only one opening in his department, which cunsists of three different areas. He dreads going to work every day and sometimes just the thought of it makes him sick. He has put it his two weeks notice but he needs another job soon. we already lost my income and are about to have to move into a bigger apartment when our lease is up on this one the end of july, we are in a one bedroom right now. So if anyone has any advice or knows of a place that is hiring please let me know.

What can I do next?

I have a friend is a contract recruiter for Countrywide - she is looking for people with either a degree or three years sales experience to be a loan consultant. He would get significant training and handle inbound calls signing people up for mortgage loans. It is 100% commission, but starts with a $30K non-recoverable draw. If you are interested, Ill give you her email address and give her the heads up he is applying. This is a great way to get into Countrywide.

Good luck!

C., my husband works for Capital One Auto Finance and he's always telling people that they're hiring. I don't know which positions they're hiring for but I think it's the Plano location. They also have offices in other areas of town so tell him to look into it. My husband has very little banking experience but seems to really like his job so give it a try!

I work at JCPenney corporate headquarters in Plano. If he wants to stay in retail, but work a more "normal" schedule, we are hiring merchandise trainees and allocators, amoungst other things. The pay is very competive and there is a lot of potential for growth and career advancement. PM me and I can give you more info.

As Michelle said, he should look into corporate retail work. I went from store level to corporate retail and was so happy I did. I had a lot of store backroom experience so I went into inventory control. There is also merchandising, customer service, and just about anything else you can imagine. They love to hire people that have store experience. Since your lease is up, it may be a good time for him to look around all over the metroplex. Radio Shack HQ is in Fort Worth, as is Pier One and a few others. Sally Beauty Supply is in Denton, and I know they are rolling a new division into this office so they will be hiring heavily soon. Zales is in Irving, Eyemart Express is Carrollton. There are others too. Good luck.
