I am looking for some sort of music class for my 3 year old twin girls to start this fall. Nothing super structured or anything...just for them to learn a bit about music. Does anyone have any ideas for the Towson/Timonium/Hunt Valley area(s)? any help would be great--thanks!!

What can I do next?

Try www.kindermusik.com. These are music classes for age specific children usually in all areas....at peoples houses and you go with them. The first class is free...so you can try it out. Good luck and have a great time!

My sister-in-law just gave us a gift of classes from Music Together. She has taken her girls, although in a different state, and says they are great! We are going to start a session this fall with our 6 month old. You can find info at musictogether.com. Good luck.

Check out www.musictogethercharmcity.com. Classes are in Roland Park, but it is worth the short drive from Towson. This Music Together program has been around for 11 years and is very popular.

Hi K.,
I have my daughter in a Music Together class and we love it! We are in our third session and they are great! You can get info by looking up "Music Together of Charm City". It is a national organization that has been around since the 80s and there are 9 different collections of songs based on different musical instruments. The classes are for mixed ages from birth to kindergarten. The teacher we have been with is Miriam Hack and we think she's great. I highly recommend these classes and I think registration is ongoing now for the fall session.

I'm not sure if you want music classes to teach your girls how to play an instrument or just have fun with music? Gymboree has a music program/class that they offer. I have no personal experience with it, but I've read about it on their website. You might want to check it out. I don't remember the exact web address, but if you google gymboree, I'm sure you'll find it.

Have you tried Music Together? This is a music program that is researched based, has great music, fun, and children love it. Go to www.itsgroovybaby.com for more information. There are classes in Towson this Fall. Many families that tried other programs have moved over to It's Groovy Baby Music Together.
