Yes, I'm a baby. I can swallow a slice of pizza almost whole, but when it comes to those nasty horsepills, I can't do it. The problem is totally in my mind, I know. What brand or type of vitamin do you take that is easy for you? Thanks, Ladies!

Flintstones chewables, or Gummi's.

Dead serious. Adult vitamins give me headaches, and prenatal vitamins make me violently ill. The kids ones, otoh, are yummy in my tummy :)

Between 70% and 95% of each vitamin ends up in the toilet, having never been absorbed in the first place. WAY BETTER THAN NOTHING, but you really don't have to stress about them too much, because they're mostly peed away.

I take centrum womens multi vitamin but they have gummies for adults now if you can't stand a pill. Most vitamins are rather large.

I take Flinstones....I share with my kiddo on these. They're chewable, and even though not the right dose for me, I take two, they are a lot better than taking the adult horse pills for sure! :-)
There's also liquid vitamins from a Vitamin Shoppe if you have one near you, that you can try. I don't like it. Makes me gag.
If you like V8 juice, you can drink the veggie and fruit kind and that should be enough for ya each day. I don't like V8 either, so I make due with sharing the Flinstones Chewables. :-)

Try Isotonix. They are awesome. It's a power and when you mix it with water it becomes the same pressure as your blood sweat and tears. It's the best absorbtion you can get. It tastes really good to. If you also need calcium or any other vitamin you can mix them together and take one drink in the morning and it will have everything in it you need.

There is also a nutra physical which will ask you a bunch of questions and based on your diet and lifestyle it will tell you what you should take for vitamins. It's really cool.

i finally started swallowing pills when i focused on gulping a cup of water instead of freaking out about pills in my mouth. I can take several at a time now!! my husband eats some bread and jam, tosses the pills in with the bread, and swallows both together.

Hi J.---I use an easy to swallow capsule but it is also available in a soft chewable form. But, what I use is concentrated food powders in that capsule. It contains ALL of the nutrients that food contains, not just a selected few. It is far superior to a multi-vitamin and if it is important to you, backed by published research to show that it helps the body to balance the immune system (get sick less often/severely or helps to reduce/eliminate allergy and autoimmune issues), protects and repair DNA (think anti-aging), optimize cardiovascular health and most importantly, reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, which is what leads to all degenerative disease.

Let me know if you'd like to know more. Your health will thank you for it. Be well...and good luck. D.

I buy mine at Whole Foods or Sprouts, and I think other similar stores would sell them. They're made by New Chapter Organics (www.newchapter.com) and they're called Tiny Tabs. They have great vitamins and minerals in them, and you take 6, but they are the size of a mini- M & M if not smaller. They're actually advertised as a vitamin that is easy to swallow.

I use "freeda" aka "freedavite tiny tablet". I got them b/c they are vegetarian, but it def helps that they are small and round not big and oblong. Also, they are not very smelly, like some.
they don't have a ton of iron, so during pregnancy I needed to supplement.
I order them online. Just google them.
hope this helps!
