I am wondering if any of you have used a monitor that has the capabilities for two children. We are adding a new addition to our home in about 2.5 weeks and we still use a monitor with our little one that we have. Please let me know if you have used any multi-room monitors and if you have like or dislike them. Thanks so much!!!

Hi S., I am about to have twins and was just about to pose the same question to the group. I have heard that the Summer Brand monitor is good but was hoping for some others also. If you find any good info, when you get a second, could you possibly email me? Thanks bunches! S. P. ____@____.com

Check out the link to the monitor above. I have it and absolutely LOVB it! I have not had any problems with it for the last two years. I have also recommended it to many friends and they have thanked me for telling them about it. Two of my sisters also have it and we all swear by it. I am also expecting my number 2 in about 10 weeks and didn't know what I was going to do...until I found out they now make an extra camera. So we will have a camera in each of the bedrooms and one handheld video monitor. I can just switch back and forth between the A and B switch to check on whichever child I need to :-)

We have 2 sons that have rooms right next to each other and we decided to go with the Graco monitor. The one that has 2 separate monitors and receivers. It has been AWESOME. The one problem is that we used ours before we let them charge fully so the stand alone battery doesn't hold for very long now. Also my son threw one of the receivers (I think thats right the one the you use to listen to) in the bath so needless to say they aren't water resistant..LOL..But the one receiver works fine that is really all you need because it will fluctuate between both rooms. Like every 10 secs. up to like every 1 min or 2...My kids are getting older now and I reall don't need the double room monitors. Let me know if you have any more questions. I still own them and I have lots of experience with them. One thing though they are EXPENSIVE my mom bought ours for us. I know what it is like to be in a NEED situation so if you do the research and find that you could get by with a bad battery in the receiver, so it lasts for a while but not as long as it should so you will have to plug it in after like an hour or 2 of not having it plugged in. And only having one receiver than maybe we could work out a trade like if you still have just a one room monitor maybe we could trade. You can not use this with other monitors and I know a year ago there weren't any out there that you could use with other monitors. Also the monitors (the ones in the babies rooms) do have a back up battery as well so if the power goes out they will stay on. And also the receivers do that as well. And they don't seem to interfere with our computers and radio. Anyhow good luck to you. And let me know if you have any other questions or if you are interested in a trade or just a flat out good deal on not having to spend the money on purchasing a brand new one.

I don't have one but I am in the same situation and I never even thought to ask here what people thought. What a great idea. I will be watching what people tell you. Thanks for asking.

We got the Graco one that monitors each room in turn. A few seconds in one room, a few in the other room.

WE HATED IT AND RETURNED IT! It had major range issues and was beeping all the time. We ended up buying an additonal monitor for the new baby and kept the old monitor for the older one. We set them on different frequencies and it works much better.

Don't waste your money on the mulitiple room montior. It a big headache.

Hi S.,
We got the the Graco i duo monitors. We do like them in that I don't have to take two monitors around if I go outside. Ossionally we get interferance or it will give an out of range beep. We usually just keep the parent end in their chargers at all times. One in the kitchen and one in our bedroom. The only thing is you have to set the amount of time you want the rooms to be monitored individually. So sometimes you can miss that first hint someone got out of bed for instance. All in all we are very happy with our system. Good luck!!

Have the Graco multi room monitor for my 2 kids and love it. It just takes getting used to the buttons and all, but it's great!
