We are in the process of moving to KY We are looking in the Prospect area. If there are any Moms out there who live in Hillcrest;Innsbrook and GlenOaks subdivision I would appreciate your feedback on the area. If there ar eany Moms who don't live in these specific areas, but like where you live for other reasons I'd love to hear from you as well. I don't get an overly good feeling about our agent. (we may switch) Any advice would be helpful. AS I states before, we are new to the area and have children that are 4 and 16 mo twins. WE'd like a community that has possibly community amenties. Thanks for all your help.

Hi K.! Welcome to Louisville! I 'm familiar with all three neighborhoods and they are all extremely nice. My personal favorite it Glen Oaks - it's closer to Springhurst, which is very new and has about everything you need within 10 minutes. I go running through there regularly (I live in a neighborhood one streeet over) and it's family friendly - you see kids out playing and everyone's friendly and waves.

As for realtors, check out my realtor.. www.raycarterproperties.com. Most of his business is in the area you are looking at and he's very helpful.

I live in Louisville, but not in the neighborhoods mentioned. I did nanny in Hillcrest for a few years & would recommend elsewhere. Hillcrest is NOT in the Brownsboro Road area like someone said. Hillcrest is really in Goshen. We are currently looking at GlenOaks as a possible new home to us. We love the area. Innisbrook is also very nice. Hope this helps.

Hey K.,
I am not familiar with Hillcrest or Innsbrook, but Glen Oaks is very nice. I have a friend you might call or email who is an agent here and she is wonderful. She lives out that way also. Her name is Jill Schmidt; she is the mother of an 10 month old and grew up out in Prospect as well. Her email is ____@____.com
I personally love the Highlands but we live closer to town. We are in walking distance of so many things: restaurants, shopping, several parks, a wonderful farmers market. It just depends on what you are looking for. We are also in a more liberal thinking and diverse part of town; again, it all depends on what you are looking for.
But Glen Oaks is very nice. Good luck! Feel free to email me if you have more questions.

Hi K.,

Hillcrest is in the Brownsboro Road area and is very nice. A few miles down is Prospect, a much wealthier part of Louisville. Hillcrest is very close to the expressway, the river and many places that are easy to get to. It's a good area for children as far as really good schools nearby and places to eat and entertainment is close by as well. I've heard of the other two subdivisions but can't think of where they are. Brownsboro Road and Prospect are a real good bet if you can afford it! Oh, and if you need childcare, The Family Tree is a good agency to call (I do not recommend Sitters Service).
Take care and good luck.

M.
