Hello!
We are moving to O Fallon at the end of the week and therefore I have a lot of question...
First I'm looking for a child care, (only 2 or 3 days a week), my son is 2 years old and I'd like him to interact with other kids.
Also do you know a good OB/Gyn? I just suffer from a miscarriage but we still want to try to have another baby...
Finally if you have anu suggestions about what to do, where to go, or if you know any mom group... please tell me all about it!
Thank you!

What can I do next?

M.,

First I want to say welcome! I also live in O'Fallon & have an almost 2 year old girl. My mother-in-law watches her while I work full time, so I can't really help with daycare suggestions, but my OB/Gyn is Dr. Jamie Puckett (late 30's, male, very nice) & he's in St. Charles.

There's all sorts of shopping areas around O'Fallon & St. Louis including the Mills Mall. It has an indoor playground for the kids, ice skating, & mini put. You'll have to visit the Zoo & Botanical Gardens this spring or summer.

I hope you enjoy it here & if you want to you can write me at ____@____.com

Welcome!
L.

I live in St. Peters, but I have a sister and a sister in law that live in O'Fallon. My sister in law takes her child to a christian church's daycare a couple days a week, its located at Hwy K and Veteren's Memorial Pkwy. She really loves their program. My sister and I actually use the same Ob/gyn and she has an office in St. Peters at Barnes Jewish Hospital, her practice is called Genesis OB/Gyn and her name is Dr. Anne Radley. She practices with two other female doctors and her entire staff is women. My sister has had three children with her and I have had a miscarriage and one child with her, and we are planning for number two this year and I wouldn't consider seeing anyone else. As far as playgroups I don't belong to anything specifically, but we have lots of parks in our area, and my experience has been that they are always placked with moms, dads and children. I also take my son to the play area at MidRivers Mall sometimes and let him play with the kids there. I have taken him to swim classes at the YMCA, and I know O'Fallon has the Renaud?(sp) Center, which is their recreation complex and I'm sure they have programs there. My sister in law is a huge fan of the center, and my sister is a huge fan of the YMCA.
I grew up in St. Louis County and didn't move to St. Charles County until almost three years ago when I married a man who grew up here and wanted to stay. I (as a lot of St. Louis) always viewed St. Charles county as "the country" and it always seemed so far away from everything, but now that I live here I love it, and its actually very close to everything, but far enough away, if you know what I mean. And the county has really come a long way, especially O'Fallon, it has grown by leaps and bounds and very quickly, so there are lots of new shops and things everywhere. But, don't forget to visit St. Louis sometimes too, the zoo, the museums, restaurants... plenty to do there too.
Welcome! :o)

I also live in OFallon, where are you moving to (there is a newer end and an older end). We live close to the TR Hughes Ballpark in a subdivision called Homefield Manor. There are tons of things to do here, I also have an 11 month old little girl. I to love to find things to do so that my son has someone to play with. I have just recently went on the day care search and found a wonderful home provider and would ask if she has any openings (she is also near the ballpark). I would be able to help you out more with the area if I knew a location. My OBGYN is actually at Missouri Baptist, about a 20 min drive from the house, love him, he and his gang delivered both of my children. Let me know some details and I could give you a hand. We are an on the go family always looking for "stuff" to do and places to go.

I have lived in ofallon all my life and love it. There are a lot of great daycare centers and in home babysitters. Which are you looking for? It really depends on where you live. Whatever you do - do not take your son to a woman named Tricia Faqir or Tricia's Tots Daycare. The TV is the babysitter there. As for an OB/GYN - Dr. Chris Ahlering is absolutely outstanding. He is off hwy 40 and has been with me through every possible situation. His number is ###-###-####. He has delivered all 4 of my children and been with us through two miscarriages. Can't say enough good things about him and his staff.

Bets of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take my 4 year old to First Baptist Christian Academy in O'Fallon and she absolutely loves it. I had more of a hard time with it than she did because she always went to a babysitter but she loves school and she learns so much that I am constantly amazed at what she knows.

I have a PERFECT obgyn - he is out at St. Luke's Hospital about 15 - 20 mins away but he is AWESOME. His name is Daniel Wagner and he has an office here in O'Fallon in Winghaven. You should think about giving his office a call. Actually, all the doctors in his office are great and have a really good sense of humor which just an added bonus for me.

Hope this helps.

Hello!
I live in Wentzville and it is next door to O'Fallon. I am 7.5 months pregnant with my first son. I don't know about child care in the O'Fallon area, however I have an awesome OB/Gyn. She is young (around 37 years old) and extremely patient and kind. Her information is listed below for your review.

Dr. Shayla Rose
636/625-2662
300 Medical Plaza Suite 310
Lake St. Louis

Her office is located at the medical building next to St. Joseph West hospital off Highway 70 in Lake St. Louis.

I hope everything goes well during the move. Welcome to Missouri!
