Snap a cute picture of you kissing mom on the cheek, you know the kind, where youre holding your camera at arms length. Frame it and give it to her. My mom always loves pictures of me and her together.... naturally she likes pics of the kids and grandkids too... But it's moms day and she's your mom... so the pic of you and her will be a pleaser.

This year I am going to make a set of notecards for all of the Moms in my life. I am taking close-up pics of my son making various faces depicting exaggerated emotions. (Surprised, Angry, Sad, Happy, Silly, Thoughtful, etc.) I am going to print the pics on card stock, and, I have a stamp that was made to look like the back of a postcard (I got the template from a Martha Stewart magazine) that I will stamp on the back. (I thought about having the postcards made at Costco, or somewhere, but I prefer the heavier stock and the matte look the cardstock offer.) I bought a nice pen and stamps to go with each set, and I am going to package them in a pretty box tied with ribbon. It is inexpensive and personalized. Plus, if I want to stick with it, I can do it every year (as long as my son will cooperate ) : ), and it will be fun to see the pics as they change. My grandmothers, in particular, send notes all the time to everyone, so I thought they might enjoy these. Plus, they are a departure from the standard, smiley family pictures we usually give to them. Hope this helps!

I have 2 mothers-in-law + my mom. I always get 3 of the same thing, makes it easier. A lot of times I will get a hanging basket of flowers. I have also done nice framed pictures of the family, photo calendars or photo scrapbooks (shutterfly . com is an easy site to use, photo books and calendars run between 15.00 and 30.00). This year my mom pointed out a really cute planter in a magazine, IKEA sells them for $4.00 so I grabbed 3 of those and will put flowers in them.

This year I'm getting my mom a new Scentsy burner thing and more wax. I don't have a mother in law. Thank goodness! It took me 2 weeks to think of the one gift for my mom!!

the best thing you can give is to spend time with them, of course seperately, just have a picnic or whatever else you think they would enjoy one on one. I take my mom shopping at least 1x a week, and call her everynight, (she has dementia), I spent Easter with her and spring cleaned her house, wow, was I sore the next day LOL, it is pretty big...any ways I just got her a simple card and since she lost already the newest pic of my son (her grandson 10) I got her a nice pic frame and put in a 5x7 for her. I just think that spending time with them is much more appreciated than any brunch would be...

Last year, I gave her a good quality kitchen knife (she REALLY needed it). The year before, I took us out for pedicures (both of our first times). The year before, some potted plants (she doesn't have much time to garden but loves, loves, loves, flowers and beauty).

This year, I'm still not sure. I think I'll get her a tin of nice quality Lapsang Souchong and help her clean and organize her closets (back to her being too busy). She loves too-hot baths, so bath goodies are impersonal, but always appreciated. The girls will probably pick out some salts and soaps and help me make something in the kitchen.

My step mom in law I will send a hand made card and photo of the girls.

My step mom probably the same thing.
