Hi! I'm hoping to get some feedback on Montessori schools. We have moved and I need to move my son into a different daycare. I have a montessori by my new hosue and would love some feedback before I make the decision on where to have him go. Thanks for your help!! :)

What can I do next?

If I could have afforded it, I would definitely have chosen the Montessori.

My friend has had her kids in Montessori schools and loves it. The main thing I know is they don't break classes by age but groups ages together, so 3 and 5 year old can be in the same class.
I think this has two sides of being good and bad. Being he is so young I am not sure how that differs on a preschool level but I do know classes are smaller and they are not funded by the state or regulated by the state in the same capacity public schools are.
Research online the differences, I think it depends on what you are needing and if they offer it.
I have heard good things about Montessori schools though.

I was actually in the field of education in college and had to do research on a Montessori school. It teaches the kids a lot of responsibility. I was most impressed with that. I would suggest that you just set up a day to go and observe and you would be able to see the difference right away. I have never had a Montessori near my house, but I would send my kids to one.

I love the montessori schools, they are alot of education without taking out the fun that private daycares have. My friend uses goddard and from what i gathered its all education with maybe 30 minutes of playtime. 15 min in morning and 15 min in afternoon. I have heard stories of public daycares that they kind of scae me to put my daughter into.
