Hi M.,

My 21 months old daughter has the same thing and I took her to Dr. David Sami in Orange. He is a Pediatric Ophthalmology, who was recommended by my daughter's doctor. We have been going to him for about 6 months now and he is really good with children.

Good luck.

Both myself and my older son have seen Dr. Andrew Choy. He is sooo good with kids. All the pediatric opthalmologists are good in his group from what I have heard, but I have only seen him. Here is his info..

If you have Kaiser, Dr. Mehta at the Yorba Linda Kaiser is a great pediatric ophthalmologist. My daughter was diagnosed with a weak eye when she was 20 months old and we have been going to him since (she is now 4). Not only is he a great doctor, he is great with my daughter as well. Feel free to contact me if you need more information.

Dr. Walter Fierson in Arcadia is really respected in the medical community, is really excellent at what he does, but always seems a little rushed when you see him. I would try him out and then decide if you think it is worth the trade-off.

Dr. Lynn Murphree at the eye clinic at Children's Hospital in LA has been a God-send for our family. I'm not sure exactly what eye conditions he treats -- I think you would have to contact him and find out. He is a world-renowned pediatric optometrist.

Good luck!

My daughter has strabimus and ambolypia (sp?) which is similiar to lazy eye. I took her to a regular eye doctor last year and he was great. His name is Dr.David Hoffman and he is in Long Beach. His number is ###-###-####. He interacts so well with children and even offers free eye exams for children under 1 (just for this specific condition). You should definitely take your son to the eye doctor as soon as possible because the sooner you get him into glasses the better.

use sterile cotton balls with water and clean around the eyes. Also with the lazy eye you will need to massage it. My little one had the same problem when he was younger. It now has been corrected by following what the doctor recommended.
