Does anyone have a fantastic Pediatrican to recommend? We are relocating and I am nervous just to pick someone without any recommendations.

What can I do next?

Ditto to the last person who said Seaview Pediactrics - except we see Dr. Johnson there and we love her! They have three offices: Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills and San Clemente.

I don't know if you follow attachment parenting but the Sears practice is in San Clemente which isn't far, I'm in Aliso Viejo and it takes me 15-20 min to get to Dr Bob's office. I love Dr Bob and so does my son. He doesn't work with insurance so you have to file the claims yourself but it's totally easy and in my opinion worth the cost & time. His fees are reasonable ($165 well visits which for me have always lasted at least an hour and never rushed and $55 for sick visits which isn't much more than my copay were I to go to a dr that takes ins). I can't sing his praises enough, he is always available by personal cell phone after hrs for urgent matters and his office has always called me back within an hour of leaving a message. He even visited my son in the hospital to speak with the hospital drs about treatment and to check in with us, on his way to work and never charged anything for his time. I called him countless times during the 5 days he spent in the hospital and he was always there to answer my questions.
I switched to Dr Bob when my son was 8 months because one, I could :) and two I found that me and his previous dr had very different views on parenting plus it was like pulling teeth to get her office to call me back. I'm so glad I switched! It's so nice to have a dr who actually listens to me

My kids see Jan Johnson at Seaview Pediatrics in Aliso Viejo. They also have a Laguna Hills office. I'm not sure if Dr Johnson is accepting new patients or not, but my experience is that everyone there is wonderful! Great nurses and office staff as well.

Good luck.

I have heard very good things about Dr. Eric Ball and others in his practice, Southern Orange County Pediatrics. Two friends have kids seeing Dr. Ball and both love him. Here is a link with their contact info http://oc.citymommy.com/?q=node/826////27 (I believe they also have another location in/near Ladera Ranch that might be even closer for you). A good friend of mine just moved to Laguna Niguel and she sees him.

Terence Chu at SOCPA (South Orange County Pediatric Assoc) in Lake Forest. The only reason we no longer see him is because we are now on Kaiser, and we were very sorry to lose Dr. Chu for our little ones! Great bedside manner, patient, thoughtful and takes his time to listen. Highly recommended.

Dr. Michael Villadelgado or "Dr. Mike" in Mission Viejo. He's affilated with CHOC hospital. He just opened his own practice -- occhildrens.com. He's young, has two small kids of his own, he's sensitive to a parents' desire for an alternative vaccination schedule. He'll take as much time necessary with you and your child to answer all your questions. Drawback: he gets behind and you usually have to wait. But it's never a problem to get an appointment when your child is sick or even for a well visit. He's great!

Ditto to South Coast Pediatrics...we go to the Lake Forest office and see Dr. Chu and Brown...what I really love about them, besides their drs, is that they do not rush you...and they keep to their appointment times. And if you select one of their drs, you can typically go to any one of their 5 locations to suit your schedule. e love their office! Good luck.

We also see Dr. Johnson at Seaview Pediatrics, and love her! Though it can be hard to see your specific doctor for sick visits (but I don't know of ANY practices where the opposite is true), we usually have no problem seeing someone else, and have liked all the other doctors and NPs. I also really like their nurses line, I can get an answers to my questions quickly.

Seaview Peds. ###-###-####. It's a clean office and they run on time. They have an office in both locations. We see Dr. Yohannes and we've see Dr. Shannon. Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck in your move!
