I am a mom of a soon to be 2 year old. Her party will be the 1st or 2nd weekend in November since her birthday is Nov 5. I haven't a clue of where to have the party? We live in Naperville and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas? I wanted to go with a Candyland theme but just don't know where to have it. HELP.

What can I do next?

Don't have advice for a location, but just wanted to let you some decoration/favor ideas. Macy's has their Christmas stuff out already (!!) and they had a few trees decorated with Candyland stuff. I bought two ornaments - one looks like the CL box, and one looks like the board. They had a ton of others - they did not look Christmas-y at all, just Candyland. I think they were $2 each - on sale right now.

HTH - cute theme!!

I have the perfect place. It is called Airtastic. It is brand new and it is a place filled with the blow up jumpy things kids love and it is so reasonable. It is on Fontenac in Aurora. Really cool!

My daughter turns 2 in november also. I am thinking about BounceTown in Oswego. A coworker told me she had her son's b-day there and they did an awesome job.

We had my 2yr olds party at Gymquest in Plainfield. It was AWESOME!!! And really cheap compared to the rest of the things we checked on like Chuck E Cheese. Even the adults had fun and pizza can be added for a reasonable price AND they let you bring your own appetizers and cake and drinks and there's a fridge in the room. Only thing is that time is limited. But it's more than enough time and runs smoothly.

How about the DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville? Or Bouncetown in Oswego (www.bouncetownparty.com)? My 5 and 9 your old kids attended a party at Bouncetown and had a lot of fun. It has indoor inflatable things they can jump on, and they do private birthday parties.

I had my two-year old's birthday party at Gymboree and she and the kids loved it. Other ideas are Pump It Up (they have them all over - they are an indoor inflatable park) or Monkey Island in Melrose Park (it's a huge warehouse-like space with inflatables and an indoor playgym). I think you can still do your own theme but the kids have plenty of activities at those places! Also, check your local YMCA too!

My son is turning 2 the end of October. We are just having a small party at home with immediate family only. Last year we really did it up for his first birthday and luckily had nice weather then. A couple places I checked into, the Bolingbrook Park district has some packages if you are having other kids, or they have a center you can rent that's over on Briarcliff I believe. I looked into Chuck E Cheese, Johanssen Farm has a birthday package, Bounce Town in Oswego, and I can't remember the rest. Good luck, but if your 2 year old is like mine, then he/she wont really care about the party anyway.
