Hello. I am new to the Friendswood Texas area, (originally from Maine), and I am so lonely! I work at home as a medical transcriptionist so that I can be home with my two-year-old, which does not give me the oppurtunity to meet people. I have not had an adult conversation with a female peer in the 3 months that we have been here. Help!! LOL!! Looking for playgroups, ladies luncheon...Anything!!

Hope to hear from some women in my area who may be in the same situation. Thanks!!

Welcome to the neighborhood!!! I'm in Dickinson (just south of you) I cant help you with the two year and up thing. My daughter just turned one. However, if you want to pm me, that would be cool. Perhaps you and I might have something in common. Is the hubby from Maine also? If so, if ya ever just need some advice as to where something is located or directions, dont hesitate to ask. I have lived here my entire life. I, too, am a stay at homer!!!

Have no fear, take your kids and your husband to Pachamama's Organic Coffeeshop in Nassau Bay (near Space Center Houston). It is a coffeehouse owned/operated by 2 mothers who understand being home with their children. They have created a cool space that is extremely kid friendly and they are genuine people. Kristin is a friend of mine and she mentioned that there are groups of moms/kiddos that meet there every week. Stop by and see for yourself. 18045 Upper Bay Rd Houston, TX 77058

I'm in Alvin, which is about half an hour away. :) I have four girls ages 5,4,2 3/4 and 10 1/2 months, so I can relate to the feeling of having only littles as companions!

Feel free to PM me.

S. (I homeschool, like natural living, scrapbooking, ect.)
