Does anyone know of any Mom groups in the East End? I have a 10 week old and am itching to get out of the house and meet some other new moms. I live in Friendship.

Thanks,
K.

Yes, there is the MOMS Club International - Pittsburgh East Chapter.

We have playgroups, book clubs, field trips, other outings and other activities.

Please let me know if you want more information. I'd be happy to send you some.

Hi and congratulations on your little girl! You can check out Urban Mommies - a mom's outing group offering exclusive behind the scenes STROLLER FRIENDLY (so you can bring baby along) tours of the art and culture of Pittsburgh...

There is a great parent's group on Meetup called Modern Moms:

It has members throughout Pgh but lots of events in the East End. There are several events to choose from every day (-:

I don't know of a formal moms' group in the area, but I met a bunch of other moms at the Baby Lapsit held at the Squirrel Hill Carnegie Library on Thursday mornings (there are also similar programs at Oakland and other Carnegie library branches), and at the Mommy and Me yoga class on Friday mornings at Schoolhouse Yoga in Squirrel Hill. I ended up in an informal moms' group that got together regularly for lunch and other activities. You might want to give some of these weekly programs a try.

Congratulations to you and your husband!
You could always look up and join a local MOPS group. Libraries are great too.
Having a newborn can be a lonely time so it's great that you're looking to connect!
