MMR Vaccine Seperated

I live in the Atlanta suburbs so I don't know any names but have you tried just calling peds in your area and explaining your situation? Any doctor can order the vaccines separate it just costs them more. If you explain you are willing to pay for the increased costs (if any) to be able to get your daughter fully vaccinated in a way that is safe for her situation... any pediatrician that refuses you should be ashamed.

Are you afraid of autism or what is your motivation if you don't mind me asking? I have a 3 yr old, 19 mo old, and 3 month old and plan to have all of them fully vaccinated (excluding flu and rotovirus) but have done it on a somewhat delayed schedule with only 3 agents at a time (so when I did MMR it was the only vaccine they got that month). I just think it is too much on their little immune systems to do it all at once... but at the same time I know they are really important. My dad had polio as a child and I am so very grateful there is a vaccine.

I don't know any pediatricians, but if your pediatrician won't separate them, there are two possible routes. They can either give you a prescription for the three seperate vaccines and you get them through a pharmacy, then have the pediatricians office administer them, or you can check with the State Department of Health. At least that's what I've been told here in SC, not sure if it's the same in GA.

My little boy's doctor is Dr. Ramos on Savannah's south side. He believes in alternative vaccine schedules, possibly he can help.

Try Statesboro Pediatric Clinic - Dr. Swaroop Reddy is the owner. He doesn't practice anymore but Dr. Rao is a partner and is very good. Dr. Reddy had to alter my daughter's DPT shots due to severe reaction. Hope this helps.

Dr, Ramon Ramos will. We love him!! He does all of his vac. separately. I dont have his number now but he is on Eisenhower drive in Savannah, Ga.

I just wanted to respond to say that you are a smart woman!! It aggrivates me that they are putting so much in these vaccinnes. I think one thing at a time is enough for a baby's body to deal with. All the best!

Hi! I totally understand your concern with the MMR vaccine shot. I was nervous about it before my daughter was born! When my daughter was 6 months old I learned that my sister found a doctor in North Carolina that was fine with giving shots two at a time (instead of 4). My doctor was fine with this and we sat down and made an immunization plan for my daughter. This made me feel SO much better. My daughter received two shots at a time at 9, 12, and 15 months. At 18 months she only had one shot which was the MMR shot. She needs the chicken pox shot before she starts pre-school. (I did ask him about seperating the MMR shot and he told me to try the Health Department. I can't remember if I called them or not.)
