I was 6 wks pregnant and i was having spotting and went to the er sunday and they said baby's there and has a faint heart beat. Wed i had my first doctor apt. and ultra sound and there was a baby but no heart beat:( This would be my 2nd pregnancy. My first i had no complications and had a healthy baby girl who is now 2. Thats why when i noticed spotting it wasnt right. So my doctor prescribed misoprostol for me to take to abort the baby. I was told to insert 4 tablets into my vagina and then 12 hrs later insert 4 more pills in my vagina. When i inserted the first 4 the bleeding picked up but wasnt bad and i had cramps off and on. I woke up at 2am to take my other 4 pills and its like the bleeding is stopping i have a light day pad on and there's just a few drops on it. I want to know who has taken it before and how long does it take to pass everything? What should i see to know everything has passed? all ive had is blood and before i went to the doctors i was having blood clots.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all. She asked if i wanted to wait and see and let nature take its coarse but i wasnt really bleeding anymore so me and my husband decided to just go ahead and try to get it out:( My hormone levels sunday were 2500 so i made my doctor check my levels again to make sure they werent the same or rising and they actually went down to 1500 in 3 days:(

I did have an ultra sound so they seen the baby and its sack but the baby was only 2cm long so i didnt know if i would probably miss it and not see it.

You may have already passed most everything before going to the doctors since you were passing clots before. When I miscarried, over the course of 2 days is when I passed all the clots, had the heaviest bleeding and cramping. I had spotted for about 2 days before and had light bleeding for a couple more days and that was pretty much it. I was never prescribed anything, my midwife let it pass naturally. She took a blood draw the day I went in with the spotting and a week later to make sure the hormone levels went down.
I forgot to add, I was 8 weeks along. My hormone levels at my first apt was only 6 weeks and they were lower a week later.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.
Why do they feel they must prescribe things when your body will do this on its own? I just had a miscarriage last week. I was 5 weeks along. It happened quickly on its own. I started bleeding on Tuesday, heavy bleeding and cramping on Wednesday, and the baby passed Thursday morning. The cramping stopped, and I bled for a few more days. What was his rationale for the abortifacient? I just don't get that at all. You should see large clots, and bleeding. You weren't too far along that it would be as much as a later term miscarriage. Blessings to you. I pray that everything will be okay soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss!! ((((((((HUGS)))))))

I had two miscarriages. One at 12 weeks and one at 6 weeks. I didn't take any meds or have a D&C or anything. I miscarried naturally. I don't understand if there isn't any problems or complications why don't doctors just let it be? I'd wait and see. It's not a fun or pleasurable experience BUT is it necessary to take the meds? My cousin had spotting and bleeding and they couldn't find a heartbeat early on, but the doctor said to wait and let nature take it's course. The bleeding stopped and she ended up being fine. Her son is now 17 years old. That's not always the case but it happens. I'm praying for you and I wish you the best. Again, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck to you!

It is up to you rather or not to take any prescribed medications they can't make you at all do it.They go with what information is brought to them then they try to help you along the way.
Sorry for your loss it is very possible that all has been aborted before your Dr. seen you.Are you having any more unusaul symtoms at this time?If so call the nurse & ask questions.Get well

Hi. If you are still bleeding after 7-10 days, phone your ob/gyn doctor.
I once bled for 28 days after taking that pill and the family doctor kept saying just let it finish. The gyn said I could have taken something to stop the bleeding and that 28 days with a period is not good. I am sorry for your loss.
