My request is simple. My daughter Tiffanie has just had her first baby 14 weeks premature on January 18. Olivia Grace weighed 2 lbs 1 oz at birth and is 13.4 inches long. She was having severe respiratory difficulties after she was born and was placed on an occilator type of ventilator which keeps a constant flow of oxygen at a quick fluttery type rate to maintain lung inflation She is now on a less intense ventilator and is much improved. She will be spending the next 3-4 months in the NICU in order for her to grow so she can go home. Please pray and send positive thoughts her way. My tiny little granddaughter and daughter need all the kind thoughts and support anyone would like to share. Thanks so very much, K.

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. Olivia has started to gain weight and they have been reducing the settings on her ventilator as she is doing much better with her oxygenation. They also have resumed giving her breast milk via a tube to her tummy. She is 2 weeks old today.

"Everything is ok in the end; if it's not ok it's not the end." Author: Unknown

"When you want something - the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

These two quotes above got me through the hardest time in my life.
Oliva is going to be a fighter. Just you see. She will be fine.

Here are some more quotes to think about.

...there is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, its because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. Its your mission on earth.

Everyone on earth has a treasure that awaits him

Wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.

Lots of love to you and your two girls. ((( HUGS)))

My thoughts and prayers go out to Tiffanie and baby Olivia. As difficult as it may be at this time, try your best to stay strong and think positive thoughts. I am hopeful she will grow to be a healthy and beautiful baby!

I will soon be making a donation to the March of Dimes. This organization is dedicated to improving the health of babies and is currently running a prematurity campain. There are so many babies that are born premature and need help. I feel a stong emotional connection to this organization.

Please keep me posted on her progress. All the best- L.
