My friend Anita is married to a man who is overseas, they have four kids all together, and before he left she found out she was pregnant. She just called and told me she lost the baby.

This might be a strange request but I'm going to see her tonight and I'd like for all the mothers to just jot a note of encouragement to her. She feels very alone now but she's healing fine physically. Thank you guys!

I will for sure pray for her because i go through the same thing because my husband is in the music business and he leaves for long periods of time also. I just had to get used to it and it took a while, we also have 3 children together and it is even harder to listen to them ask when daddy is coming home and sometimes i never know when he will be back so i don't really know what to tell them i just let them talk to him when i can because most of the time he is in the studio for like 12-16 hours at a time and when he's finished he tries to sleep before he has to go back into the studio and we hardly ever gt to talk to him. I will surely pray for her and hope that she will be okay soon.

J.,

What a wonderful friend you are! It is not strange at all to extend love to someone we don't even know. We were made to be loved!! I have lost two children and I understand the pain that she is feeling. This child was a way to feel close to her husband while he is gone too!
My loving thoughts and prayers are with your friend today. I would encourage her to get in contact with her hubby is she can. Thank you for being an example of a great friend!

Blessings, A.

All of my prayers are with you and your friend and their family. My sister-in-law lost her baby and I am so sorry that your friend is going through this. Always remember that God only hands us what he knows we can handle. This is test of her faith. Tell her to keep the faith and I know in my heart that the Lord has other plans for her and her baby.

Also let your soon to be husband and her husband know that I thank them appriciate all that they do to give me and everyone else our freedom.

May God Bless you all!

Anita, there aren't many words one can say to alleviate that big hole in your heart. I, too, had a miscarriage when my husband and I first conceived. It was VERY difficult. I was 33 and ready by then! But I took comfort in the idea that most fetuses in utero that have medical problems too intense for their little bodies to handle, then they are taken back up to "heaven" and then they can choose to return to a healthy body! And then you can love them! Mine came back to me six months later, through the Katrina mess, I had a little light of life after a hard emotional time. We are all out here with our stories...reach out! I just joined mamasource and it is really an interesting forum to meet moms. God Bless, you will be just fine. Any momma that can bravely raise four others while their precious husband is off protecting our freedoms is someone that I have the utmost respect for. No good lucks, there are only blessings and GREAT friends to hold you and cry with you and help you heal. And you will....you will....you are built that way!

Anita, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My son will be leaving for Afghanistan in June. He is a father of three and expecting a son in August. I can certainly understand the pain you are experiencing and pray the Lord will comfort you and get you through this soon. God bless you and your family and thank you for being a strong and courageous wife for your husband as he gives his time and dedication in service away from you and his children. I admire the wives and children, our unsung heros, of our military servicemen and all the trials they must endure, alone, while their spouse are away.

J., thank you to you as well and God bless you for taking this time to ask others to pray for your friend. The same to you for being a wonderful example of what a military wife, mother & friend can be. I am encouraged and thankful.

Anita,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby. Life is sometimes unfair and unexplainable. I don't know if you are religious and/or spiritual but I believe that God has a plan for us, including our unborn children. When someone looses a baby before they are born, I like to think of it as though God was not yet ready to let go of that little angel's soul just yet. Whenever He is ready, He will send your little one back to you. You just have to believe it. I will pray for you and your family, as well as your husband. I am sure he wishes he could be there for you. There is a phrase I like to say when I feel stress, unnerved or just plain sad. It simply states, "Relax, God is control." It really helps me get through trying times. I hope this helps.
