I got the Adiana procedure about 2 1/2 years ago. Since I have had the sterilization done, my periods have been irregular. They always seem to move a week up each month. I had my first pap done a month ago since I've had this procedure done, and she found cysts on both sides of my vaginal wall. She said no big deal if they are not bothering you, but was surprised that I didn't know they were there. We had a discussion about how my periods move up every month and how heavy they are. We talked about a few options, but she wanted me to see if I had at least 21 days between the next two cycles, well I only had 15 (started Oct. 20, and then started late last night). I don't know if the two have anything to do with each other. I just turned 34 and have 3 children....Should I call, or if I call am I going to sound like a paranoid crazy lady? Any advise would be very helpful. Thanks ladies!!!

What can I do next?

She told you to let her know if it was under 21 days. It's 15. Simple math says call.

My friend started getting more frequent periods till it was almost continuous.
She was getting anemic from losing so much blood.
It turned out to be an early symptom of breast cancer.
She had a lumpectomy, did radiation and chemo and did 5 years on a chemical menopause (her type of cancer fed off hormones).
She's been cancer free for over 20 years and she's fine now.

It could also be fibroids or something less serious than cancer.
You need to call/see your dr to find out what's going on.
An ablation or hysterectomy might take care of it - and that's lots easier than chemo, etc.

You should call. When it comes to your health it's ok to be paranoid. She's your doctor she is there to answer your questions. Good luck!!

I would call. From what you've posted, it looks like your periods are on a cycle of less than 15 days! That's crazy. And something isn't right.

Call.

There are some options for frequent, heavy periods. Call. I wish I would have addressed my issues sooner than I did. I could have saved myself years of misery.
