Meeting Stay at Home Moms and Making Friends

I'm a stay at home mom as well and just love coffee. Are you thinking about something for you to do on your own without your kids? Or will you be bringing the kids? Are you an early bird or a night own? What kind of schedule do you have? Let me know and we can set something up. (You can message me privately.) Oh yah... I would be interested in getting out also. Some other options for you for meeting more Moms would be to check out momsclub.com (or .org?) I know there are a few MOMS Clubs in Rio Rancho, you could find the one closest to your house. They have playdates etc, as well as Moms night outs. Most of their activities are during the day, kids included so that it doesn't dip into family time. It is divided up by parts of the city so all the Moms you meet will live close to you. There is also a Rio Rancho MOPS group (www.mops.org) MOPS is Mothers of Preschools, so anyone with kiddos from ages birth to six years. They generally meet twice a month, childcare is provided and infants are welcome to stay with you. My kids love going to MOPS! They have planned activities and lessons for the kids during your meeting when you get "grown up time" and adult conversation, what a concept ;)

I just wanted to let you know about our monthly preschool open gym time. It's a great place to bring the kids for a playday, and meet other moms. Every third Wednesday of the month, S. has open gym from 11:00 - 12:30 for any child age 5 or younger. The gym is very big with lots of fun things to play with like the foam pit, the inground tramploine and bars to hang or swing on all over the place!
