Can anyone tell me what cooking equipment (pots, pans ect.) is included in the Marriott Suites. We are staying in one later in the month and will be cooking do to food allergies. I need to know what I should plan on making with what is available. Or what I need to take. (Not a big issue, we will be driving) Thanks everyone!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It has a full kitchen. Fridge,2 burner stove, micro and dishwasher. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with one and if I could count on more then 1 pot and skillet. I should probably call, it is a studio suite if that helps.

Why not contact Marriott Suites directly? Then you will know what do bring if extra items are needed?

Blessings....

I have never stayed in the Marriott Suites but I have stayed in a place that had a "mini kitchen". It only had a toaster oven, microwave, one sauce pan, one skillet, bowls, silverware, cups, glasses and a cork screw. Needless to say, we went out to eat. If I were you, I would take a couple of extras just in case or just call them and ask.

I haven't stayed in a Marriott Suites room before, but we did stay in a place that had a mini kitchen. YOu may want to call and ask what they have to COOK on. I thought we were getting a regular oven and microwave. It was a convection/microwave oven and took FOREVER to cook the premade lasagna I had made. We also had a smooth top stove that had two burners. VERY limited counter space.

We had a skillet, baking sheet, glass casserole dish, and some limited spatulas.

I have stayed in one of their residence units. I cooked in the kitchen. They had an assortment of pots and pans. But the only spices they had was the standard salt and pepper. I washed the pots and pans before i used them, but that's just what I do. (I caught one of my kids peeing in a pot when he was being potty (no pun intended) trained, and I just can't help but wash or at least rinse out a pot or a pan when I take it out of the cupboard.)

If your kitchen doesn't have the pot you want, ask the front desk. I'm sure they will do their best to get one for you.

Good luck to you and yours.

Jill is correct when we stayed there was a full sized fridge, a microwave electric coffee pot and a 2 burner smooth top stove.. Dishes for 4. Skillet, bowls, I do not recall a saucepan, can opener, spatula. Flatware and the glasses and cups you would normally find in any hotel.

I think I also remember they had some kitchen things you may need.

We were going to use the grill but it was not working very well.

You can all the front desk of the actual place and ask them..

Why don't you call them and ask them? That's what I would do.

We stayed on a house boat for a week and I couldn't believe it....the kitchen was fully stocked. It had pots, pans, bakeware, all utensils. It really was a home away from home.
I imagine that Marriotts are different depending on the management, etc, so your best bet is to ask the actual place you'll be staying.

Have a great time!

Call the Marriott. They could tell you exactly what you will have. If a studio
type of room, you will not have everything. A one bedroom type suite should
be fully stocked. However, call to be on the safe side.

Just stayed in a Marriott Residence Inn and it was fabulous. We didn't use the kitchen much because of many meals provided at a family wedding. But call the individual hotel and ask exactly what they have. Ours provided things like dishwashing liquid and dishwasher soap, and had an oven. But you need to check because there are different levels of "luxury". Usually there is a coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, and at least a 2 burner stove. There will be dishes (dinner plates, salad plates, coffee cups, cereal/salad bowls). There is just enough flatware to get by. There are usually a pans - frying, sauce. Often a dish drainer and one towel. If there is an oven, there will be a baking sheet or broiler pan. Usually there are some basic utensils such as a spatula, can opener, cutting board, slicing knife.

Some hotel suites have ovens and 4-burner stoves, others have 2 burner stoves and no oven. Microwaves are usually small so it's hard to have multiple courses available at the same time. The refrigerators are usually full-sized - maybe not quite as big as the one in your kitchen, but not mini-fridges either. Check on ice trays - sounds dumb, but there's often a big freezer with nothing in it. Sometimes an ice machine is available elsewhere in the hotel.

It's probably easiest if you purchase food when you get there - the hotel will be able to tell you what supermarkets are nearby. Some hotels offer a grocery service, but you most likely need to do your own purchasing. Depending on your allergies, you might consider something like rice & stir-fry (one saucepan, one frying pan), pasta with microwaved meatballs, and maybe veggies either in the stir-fry or added to the pasta sauce (e.g. frozen spinach), or buy a salad at the salad bar. Most hotels don't have anything big like a salad bowl so either use the salad bar or buy/bring a larger bowl (perhaps disposable).

They often do not have pot-holders (the better Residence Inns do) so plan on allowing for a hand towel or dish towel to do this. You can probably get extra linens at the desk for no charge. Find out if there is detergent or if you should bring it (or buy it there) along with a scrubby pad.

If you use condiments, consider the small packets available at local fast food restaurants, before you go.

Any non-perishables you can take (bread, peanut butter, pasta, rice and so on) will make it easier for you. Also a veggie steamer if you use it. No hotel will have that.

Good luck!

My parents own a timeshare with Marriott in Orlando. We go there every couple of years and the kitchen is FULLY stocked. We don't need to bring anything. Residence Inn normally is fully stocked as well. Just call the hotel directly and they can tell you exactly. Enjoy!

I would call them because I have stayed in one that only had a coffee maker. I actually didn't know some had kitchens.

Each Marriott Suites has different requirements, set ups. I would call the one you will be staying at and ask them what is supplied in your suite.

I know my girlfriend who had a house fire stayed at the one here in Herndon and it had everything - coffee pot, toaster, pots and pans, silverware, etc.

Just call them. Then you know for sure!!

Certainly call the one where you will be staying directly to get a heads up.

We have stayed in them before and the ones we've stayed in had a full kitchen with everything needed. I've never cooked there though... we just stayed there for convenience a couple of times.
