Market Day Experience?

My son will be starting kindergarten and I received the Market Day menu today. Our fall schedule is going to be busy in the evenings and I was thinking of supplementing my cooking with some of the Market Day offerings. I was wondering if anyone out there has any info on Market Day. I was wondering how does their food taste? Have you compared their prices to what you can get at your usual grocery store? Any other suggestions/comments you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies...I went ahead and placed an order. I primarily got main entree items because I felt the sides were too expensive. I'm hoping everything tastes as good as it looks...I have since made another order and have loved most everything. Saves a lot of time and if you pick the right things they are healthy.

Several years ago, a friend that I lived with used to get it and most of the stuff she ordered was good. But, when we got it last year with my son, things seemed kinda pricey.

I personally LOVE Market Day! Their food is delicious and their are so many options. Everything is pre-cooked and vacuum packed separately (steaks, chicken breasts etc), so you can cook up what you need without wasting anything. The prices are not bad considering the convenience and the fact that it is benefiting the school system. Hope this was helpful; and hope you enjoy Market Day as much as we do.

Our family loves Market Day. It did seem a little pricey but when you compare it for like items at the grocery store the items are about the same. And they are SUPER convinient. Everythin my family tried was great. I'd say it's definitley worth giving a try!

I love market day food. We haven't found much of anything that we don't like. They are great for quick easy meals or healthy snacks as well.

Plus your child's school gets money back from your purchases!

Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

We have bought Market Day foods from our Grandson's school. We have been pleased with all that we've bought. I've had chicken, potato, vegetable, fruits and dessert products. I like having them for easy fast meals. Yes, it is more expensive than at the grocery store; however, I feel that it goes to a worthy fund raising cause. (I am a retired teacher and understand and appreciated what the PTO's do with funds in the schools. I have found that the menus change each month. If you see something you are interested in, you should get it because you may not be able to get it next month. If you are not worried about fat and high calorie content, the microwave chicken pot pies are very good. I think I've said enough. I am interested what you think after you give them a try.

Hi K.,

Our oldest is going into 4th grade, and we've done the Market day stuff alot. The food is actually very good! We love the stuffed chicken, and really there is nothing that we've tried that hasn;t been good. I think the prices are pretty comparable to the grocery store, and it's definitely convenient! We like it!
