Does anyone know an easy way to make ribs in a slow cooker? We have a slab of ribs and don't know what to do with them! Thanks!

Season them up real well. Break 2 carros and 2 celery in half and lay on bottom of slow cooker. Add a little liquic to bottom just to come half way up the veggies. Lay your ribs on top of veggies and cover. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Dinner will be ready when you get home.

Use your favorite bbq sauce recipe (or a bottle from the store) Put in crock pot and turn on low in the morning. By dinner, the aroma will have you hungry for ribs.
To make bbq sauce use ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and a few other seasonings. i also add onions, western dressing, soy sauce and a few herbs. Basically whatever i have i use. Very simple. Good luck

put ribs in cooker and pour in one bottle (small size) of the cheapest bbq sauce you can buy, don't worry about taste of it. Set on low. 6 hours later pour all contents out into a collander. Replace meat to the slow cooker (now no liquid at all, it all drained away). Now pour on a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook on high for one more hour and enjoy. It's so simple and gives you the best tasting ribs in the world.

I havent read through all your responses but what I do is jus throw it in the pot and put 1/2 bottle of bbq sauce on and add enough water to cover it. Cook and serve! I never follow a time for ours!

Also... pork roast is great in the crock pot/slow cooker! Same thing but add an onion and when it is done take it out and shred it with a fork. Add more bbq sauce and serve on buns! MMMMmmmmmm!!!!!

Also, sometimes I add honey or brown sugar to my sauce!!!

Good luck!

**** FYI- my Aunt just sent me this page for crock pot recipes.... looks like they have a ton here! Just for future reference for crock pot recipes!

We do the following 2 for our ribs.

1. use an oven bag, in the oven.
2. use a pressure cooker. It takes 20 minutes and they fall off the bone.

Go to www.recipezaar.com for any questions you have. I have been to a lot of recipe places, but recipezaar is by far the easiest to follow. Good luck.

I have a recipe that us, but you put it in the oven.

Pre-heat your oven at 250 degrees
You rub down the ribs with some rib rub.
Rap them in foil.
Let them go in the oven for about 4 hours.
When they are done if you still use your outdoor grill now or us a stove top grill you put your favorite BBQ sauce on them and let them go on there for about 5 minutes each side. They are terrific.

Try a barbecue sauce and a little chicken stock on low temp for the day. If you are at home you can put it on high and check throughout the day. I also add garlic, salt and pepper.

I agree with the crock pot and BBQ sauce method. I put them in the crock pot before work and they are done when I get home. They are moist, tender and fall off the bone.

Super good, super easy. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Put in cooker on low for 8 hours. You can sauce the ribs at the begining, the middle or the end, depending on how you like them. They are fall off the bone delicious!
Happy cooking.

Okay, this is about as easy as it gets....I just heat up the crock pot, put the ribs in and put some Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce over them. Then you cook them on low for 6-8 hours and you're ready to go. They just fall off the bone. Just make sure you pull off the fat...you don't want to get a mouthful of that!
