Hello,

We are baptising our daughter October 7th at St. Andrew's on Addison & Paulina. I'm looking for luncheon ideas for about 23 adults (7 kids). I'm also looking for something where the kids will have enough space to run around. Walking distance from church would be good, but can't think of anywhere. I priced Mia Francesca on Clark, but it's a little out of our price range. I tried contacting Tuscany, but they will not call me back. Francesca's is turning out to be $41+ a person. Her 1st birthday is coming in mid November, which will be a larger party and of course more expensive.

Any ideas? We are not looking for a specific type of food. Italian, American, Mexican etc.....

What can I do next?

Hi L.,
We had the same problem when we had our little boy christened on Father's Day (!) this year at Mount Carmel Church on Belmont. We actually ended up having it at our apartment and ordered cake from Bittersweet on Belmont, and ordering food, salad, dip and deserts from Costco. There was hardly any preparation/clean up to do, it was a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and really worked out to be a very inexpensive way to go....In Lakeview there didn't seem to be too many options and the ones that we found either were too expensive or wouldn't take reservations (maybe because it was Father's Day)

After my daughter's baptism we went to Ann Sather on Belmont. They have an upstairs that holds large groups and the kids we had ran around without much problems.

What about the Italian place on the corner of Paulina and Lincoln, or further down the street at Wishbone? Both are walking dist from Andrews.

I don't remember how nice it is but D'Agostinos is at Southport and Addison or something like that.
