She is breastfed, and had the usual breast buds after birth... both of which were identical on both sides and became very small almost unoticeable. Now all of a sudden as I was putting lotion on her I felt a very obvious lump only on her left breast, it doesnt feel like its directy under the nipple it kind of extends up.

Could that be a lymph node?

Is it normal for the breast bud to go away and then come back only on one side a month later?? Did any of you experiance this with your daughter?

What can I do next?

It could also be your hormones transferring to her - it happened w/my daughter, too. Also, when I was pre-teen I had a clogged milk duct which I'm told is super common and normal. I'd get her checked out to be on the safe side but don't worry it's probably normal!!

It very well could be a lymph node. Has she been sick, fighting off a virus? My daughter had a lump on the back of her neck (lymph node) from being sick. I would just call her peds office and see what they say.

My daughter had one and it went away within a month's time. More than that and I'd call the doctor.

My daughter had one when she about 18 months old. It turned out to be a sebacious cyst. Harmless, but it needed to be removed surgically as they often get infected. Don't wait; have it checked by a physician1

I WOULD CALL THE PEDIATRICIAN IMMEDIATELY!

I am a cancer survivor (Hodgkins Lymphoma specifically). My largest mass was in my mediastinal area, inside my rib cage. To my knowledge, there are no topical lymph nodes in that area.

Lymph nodes do swell in response to infections. Usually, it's in the areas of the neck, under the armpits, the groin area.
95% of lymph node swellings are benign and have no reason for concern.

As someone who found a small, suspicious lump in my clavical area, I'd urge you to call the pediatrician and ask their advice. It may be hormonal-related. But, I would NOT wait a month in case it is something more serious.
