What are your favorite lowfat/nofat snacks? I need more ideas. I love raspberries, apples, strawberries, fat free popcorn. Id like to mix it up. I hate carrots though.

I try to stick to a low fat diet but I do eat walnuts and almonds. I find them to be satisfying. I also like dried fruit and applesauce.

I just bought some freeze dried fruit today at Target (in the snack isle, near the nuts). It's really yummy-crunchy and sweet with no fat and very few calories.

Learn to like veggies. You probably need more anyway. Cut the up in the am to snack on throughout the day. I found the easiest way to learn to like veggies was to cut them up, toss them in olive oil and roast them in the oven. You can even sprinkle some parmigiano reggiano cheese on them and you wouldn't believe how good they can be. The secret is to roast them long enough that you can put a fork in them easily but not so long that they they become soft and mushy. Brings out the good flavors and sweetness. Red peppers, broccoli, summer squash and stuff like that you only need to roast 10 or 15 min. Carrots, potatoes, etc you need to roast longer. Experiment or look it up online.
Nuts and yogurt are yummy, too. Those Fage (Greek) yogurt cups with the separate compartment of fruit are soooo delish, too. I recently discovered those- o my yum.

How about celery with peanut butter, vanilla yogurt with fruit and mid afternoon throw some chocolate chips for a pick me up. Also, granola
is great, too. We love Dannon Light Vanilla. The Quaker rice cakes are good with all the different flavors. Apples are great with peanut butter of dipped in yogurt. Time for a snack.................

I love cereal and 1% milk. My parents recently started buying Lactose Free milk at WalMart. (The Great Value kind) and the low fat varieties of that taste so rich and good! It feels like you are eating something you shouldn't, but depending on which one you get there is little or no fat. Pair that with a healthy cereal and it can be a really yummy snack.
Good luck!

right now, WATERMELON and CHERRIES (both decently priced right now at the store).

What about cucumber? Expensive, but red bell pepper is so yummmy IMO. I buy a lot of them when they're on sale and we eat them raw with no dip and love every bite.
