Low HCG Levels, Still Pregnant? Need Reassurance

My sister who's last cycle was the beginning of December took 6 home tests on saturday and they were all positive! But today she went to the Dr. for a blood test and they said her HCG levels were low and they suspect she might have already miscarried :( They are going to recheck on wednesday to see if the levels have increased. I want to be optimistic for her but I also don't want to get her hopes up. This is a very unexpected but VERY welcome surprise. She was already so excited, she had been told she couldn't conceive naturally.
Has this happened to any other mama out there, and how did it turn out? I just don't know what to say to her. I don't want to "console" her and make her feel like there's no hope, but also don't want her to be completely broken hearted all over if she gets her hopes up, and she has lost the baby!

What can I do next?

Unfortunately, she probably isn't pregnant anymore. However, she might be someone who is helped by taking Clomid, either just to conceive or a little longer until the placenta takes over making progesterone. Do y ou know the exact number of her low progesterone?

This is what happened to a friend of mine. The doctor said the progesterone should be about ten, but that he's had women conceive at 6. My friend conceived with 7. Every case is different, so don't give up hope. You'll know more Wednesday.

The best thing for you to do is just be supportive for her. You can't do anything really right in this instance.
With my second baby, completely unexpected since I was scheduled for a hysterectomy, all signs pointed toward miscarriage. I was bleeding heavily which was weird because I almost never had periods in the first place.
My levels were so low. We chose not to tell my daughter or anyone else for that matter.
The doctor prepared me for the worst and I accepted it. My heart was broken, but what could I do but be prepared?
All I can say is that my son is a miracle and he is responsible for fighting all the odds.
Looking back, there was nothing anyone could have done or said to help. I really was in shock myself when I learned that my levels had gone up.
Even the doctor was surprised.
Miracles do happen.
They really do.
If this isn't the time for her miracle, it's not the end of the world.
That's what you need to let her know.
I lost a baby at 6 months pregnant so I guess I might have been a little more emotionally prepared than some. I just left it to God. I had no control over it.
My son is such a great joy to me. I waited a very long time for him.
Be supportive, no matter what.
There is something positive in every thing that happens, even if we can't see it at the time.

I pray that there is a miracle in the works for your sister too.

Best wishes.

we tried for 11 years and not so much as a day late ever!! I then got pregnant and shortly after Lost baby, same way. I probably wouldn't have even known I was pregnant if I hadn't been looking so desperately for it. One year to the day almost, I ended up pregnant again and this time it stuck. Miracles happen all the time, unfortunately, we don't control them. just be there to support her as much as you can.

I had the same issue, the doctor said that the levels should double each day. Well mine didn't, we did the ultrasound and the baby was fine. He is now 17 months and we are so very greatful for him. In the event your sister has lost her pregnancy please, please, comfort her and listen to her. Many Blessings
