Love Your Battle Ground Pediatrician & Other Doctors?

We are relatively new to Battle Ground, and have settled in, and are really loving our new community. We have not chosen local Dr.s because I have been searching for someone who LOVES theirs, to no avail. Please tell me about the Pediatrician (esp.), OBGYN, Dentist, Chiropractor, General Practitioner, etc. that you have been seeing and think is tops. I've always gone by word of mouth on these sorts of things, and have had great luck. Thanks!

Hi G., sorry I'm replying a little late to this request, I didn't get a chance for computer time this weekend. But anyway, I too live in Battle Ground. My husband and I moved here 3 years ago. Prior to here, I've lived in Vancouver for nearly my whole life, so I haven't really changed my caregivers. Although, when I got pregnant I did choose an ob-gyn that wasn't too far away. I see Suzanne Slayton-Milam, M.D. at Cascadia Women's Clinic in Salmon Creek. It's about a 15-20 minute commute. Her office is just a few blocks away from Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital. As for family doctors, I work occasionaly (use to be full-time before becoming a mom) at Family Wellness Center, which is in the Fisher's Landing area of Vancouver, off of 164th avenue. I take my son there to Dr. Tom Dyehouse. He's not a pediatrician, he's in family practice, but he's really laid back and so caring. I highly recommend him for your whole family. The commute is a little farther though, about 30 minutes from Battle Ground. Hope this helps a little.

Hi G., I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our pediatrician and she is just down the highway from you at Salmon Creek. Her name is Rebecca Nelson at the Vancouver Clinic - she IS the best thing since sliced bread! She sees our triplets all at once and has since they were about a month old and is very patient, answers all of our questions, and even helps me through tough times with the kids - sometimes we talk for a few minutes while my husband and the kids check out so I can get some one-on-one advice.

As for dentists, I have been going to Dentus in Vancouver for over 10 years and they have a great staff all around - 2 dentists and wonderful staff.

I have what I think is a great PCP for annuals, etc. but that is all I see her for so I can't recommend her for anything else.

Take care,
G.

I work at a specialist medical office and recieve referrals from many primary medical offices so when I look for an MD, I also look for knowledgable staff at those offices. For routine family care, I would highly reccomend Creekside Medical their MDs and staff are great. For gyn care, I would reccomend Dr Kubiniec who is in private practice or anyone at Cascadia Women's Clinic. Both are great practices and have caring staff.

All of our doctors are in Salmon Creek, which is still relatively close for you. Our general practicioner and pediatrician are the same - we use Dr. Jones at Creekside Medical. All of the doctors there are fantastic! My OBGYN is Dr. Gibbons at Cascadia Women's Clinic. They are all wonderful there too. And for dentists, I heartily recommend Dr. Calderon at Calderon Family Dentistry. Good luck to you and welcome to the area!

I actually live in Vancouver, and have a pediatrician in the orchards area (pretty close to Battleground) We love him, he is the kindest, most gentle doctor, but it is a Kaiser doctor. So depending on whether or not you have Kaiser, or want to have Kaiser as your insurance. In any case, his name is John Lasseter. Good Luck!

I live in amboy and use DR. Courtney Lower for all of our family. Three girls under 5 and my husband and myself. she is family pratice not a pediatrician but she is good and my girls really like her. she is at the vancouver clinic in battleground down by Rockies pizza. The reason I choose to respond is to recommend my dentist. DR. Frank Foreman in Orchards. He deals only with children and he has specialized in kids for over 20 years. my 3 1/2 year old had to have some damaged teeth pulled when she was only 1 1/2 and he was wonderful. and has since helped her over her fear. the office staff is all wonderful and your kids will love to go to the dentist!!! good luck finding someone you love for your children. welcome to battle ground.
