So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful & kind words during this tough time. Cameron has given me such joy & happiness in life. its harder for me to feel sad...yet most of time since his passing i have been extremly happy. cameron taught chris & i so much more then we could have ever imagined in a lifetime. He may have been small, no walked or talked, but boy did he have a huge impact on our lives. Im so happy to say i can call such a special little boy my son. i had the best 3 yrs & 3 mos of my life. I have only grown into such a wonderful person since giving birth to cameron. Im so thankful for so many things. I know with the new baby, i will enjoy every tiny moment. no matter what it is. thats the best thing ive learned from cameron is not to take anything for granted...even a single breath or a heart beat is so important. well again thank you all for your kind & generous words. ~C.~

ps.s just had the baby on sun! 8/26 @ 3;04 pm. hes perfect & healthy!

Dear C., My son Ryan had terminall heart and lung problems since birth. He lived until age 12 and died at home.I would love to heard about Cam. I am sorry that we have this in common. Ryan was my first. I am 47 and a grandmother but grief and loss knows no age limit. I had an small daughter when my son died. Please let me know if you would like to talk. Also I was helped greatly by a group called compasionate friends. you can look them up on the internet to find a chapter near you. S. R

My sister lost her little boy at around 18 months from brain cancer. He spent about 10 months in Boston Childrens Hospital. She is still having a hard time. She wasn't married and doens't have anyother children. My mother lost my brother when he was 27 and she said at any age, losing a child was the toughest thing that she has ever had to go through and parents are supposed to bury their kids, not the other way around.

My heart felt prayers go out to you and your Fiance.
I lost a son when I was 23, he was only 1 month 27 days. His death was from Sids. It was sudden and unexpected. The pain was and is still 20 years later, extreme.
The hardest thing for me was having 2 subsequent children.
Cameron is in a more peaceful place now. Im sure that doesn't ease the pain.
God Bless you both and your unborn son.

C.,

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss of Cameron. I'm sure it was very hard to lose your little boy. At the same time, I'm happy to hear you'll be having another in just a little while!
I know you'll always miss Cam, but also know you'll have much joy with the new addition to your family.

If you ever need to talk or whatever, feel free to look me up and vent away.

Best wishes,
L.

Hi C....

I haven't personally lost a child, but I was there when my niece lost her son. He was 2 and died from brain cancer. They were from VA and moved here to get help from Children's Hospital, so I was at the hospital often, spending nights there so she could get out and get some r&r....

That was rough...if you've lost a child, I can't imagine what you're dealing with. One day at a time dear, one day at a time....

Hugs....
