I am looking to meet new people and make some friends for myself as well as my children. I have lost a lot of friends to them moving or we just grew apart because I started having children and they didnt. It is very evident to me how important relationships with other women are. Just looking for other stay at home moms to hang out with go on playdates with and be friends with.

I joined Gwinnettareamommies.com and it's free. I have been to many get togethers. The mothers are nice and welcoming. Plenty of mommy's with children in the same age group.

I had the same problem. I finally did two different things and I have made some of my friends for life. We joined Gymboree when my son was 4 months. The other thing I found was a website called meetup.com. I started in three groups and just recently I decided which one fit the best and stuck with one. It is free to get into a group but some of the groups have a small yearly fee or even a monthly fee. The one I am in now is no cost. One of the other groups I was in was $12 a year and the third group just started talking about charging monthly for the cost to run the page and anything the organizer supplied at some of the meetups.

Hope this helps

Hi J.,

What part of town do you live in? I have an 18 mo. old boy. I do work part time, but am off Mondays and Fridays. Have you tried going to local parks?

Where do you live J.? I live in Alpharetta, are you close by? My name is K.. I am 26 (I'll be 27 in march) and I have one boy, 8 months. I'm a SAHM too and also have the same issue where most of my friends do not have children. I have made a few new mommy friends but am always looking for more. If you live nearby, maybe we could meet sometime?

Hey,

I am in the same boat, I moved from South Florida 2 years ago and I stay home and now that I have a son its hard to meet people. I am in Lawrenceville, not sure what area you are in but I am always up for meeting new people. My son is 20 months and I have another one on the way due in July. If you want to talk I am apart of some groups I can tell you about that I just started attending. My email is ____@____.com or you can send me a private message if you want to chat on the phone.

Hi J..

I am in a similar situation. I have a 14 month precious girl and another one on the way. So many of my friends that have kids went back to work. What area do you live in? I would love to meet other stay at home moms and have my daughter have more interaction with other kids.

J.
