Looking for Young Toddler Gymnastics Classes

Hello, we live in Clinton Twp and I haven't been able to find any young toddler gymnastics classes in our area. Gymboree offers them but they're insanely expensive! I want to get my 18 month old involved in them but I can't afford too much. None of the YMCA branches in our area offer the class we need. I would like something that includes the parent/caregiver (like a "Moms and Tots" program) but I'll settle for just about anything at this point. Does anyone know where else I can search?

What can I do next?

Both of those are located in Clinton Twp. They are less expensive than Gymboree but overall, gymnastics is a more expensive sport. Have fun!

troy gymnastics center has lots of mom and tot gymnastic classes... $90 for 8 weeks.

Warren gymnastics center has mom and tot...$39 per month.

sterling heights parks and rec does mom and tot classes on saturday am.. I have heard they fill up fast.

I took my daughter to gymnastics at 18 months and she was too young to do many of the activities.. for example she just couldnt jump ... and she was terrified of the balance bean even if it was 4 inches off the floor. she did listen and cooperate generally.. my son had to drop out of gymnastics at 18 months as he wouldnot cooperate and only wanted to jump on the trampoine for 45 minutes..

The Troy gymnastics center has one for this age, and it is mom and tot. I believe it is $90.

We went to Olympia in Shelby for parent/child classes and it was fun.. really enjoyed the classes, although my son I think was too young for them. They aren't cheap, but I tend to feel like you get what you pay for.

I love the gym my daughter goes to and they have a mom/tot class for 18 mos. and up. The name of the gym is Olympia and it is located at 23 just west of Schoenner. I don't have the number handy, but you can find them on the internet.

The Troy Gymnastics Center has an 18 month - 3 year old Mom & Tot class. I did it in the spring. When we started my daughter was only 19 months. She was the youngest in the class. There is a big difference between young ones and 3 year olds, but they all had fun and it didn"t really matter their ages or ability levels.

Sterling Heights Parks and Rec offers a mom tot gymnastics class. It runs for 8 weeks (on Saturday mornings) about $40...it does fill up fast though. There next offering is in the winter. Sign up is usually some time in February I think. You can always check their website.

This it the 2nd session my daughter is in with the Sterling Heights Parks and Rec and we are very pleased with it.

I have two recommendations for you... The first one is look into the Lanse Cruse Community School http://www.lc-ps.org/Community/CommunityEd/Fall+2009+Clas...

and here are some centers that have classes

1. Cutting Edge Athletics - clinton township ~ http://www.cuttingedgeusa.com/

2. Extreme Gymnastics USA ~ Clinton Township

3. American Gymnastics and Cheer - Chesterfield ( this one I have been to and liked it, however I can not say the same about my son! and therefore we have a credit and will be taking my daughter as soon as she is bigger.) :-)

Hope that helps!
