Hi gals :)

I want to buy a bowl with a suction cup for my 12 month old. She's ready to start using a spoon and I have visions of the bowl scooting around on her or being pitched over the side of the highchair tray. Any advise is appreciated.

What can I do next?

check either babyrus.com or the baby r us store. This was awhile ago I bought a bowl that wasn't a suction bowl... but a non skid bowl.. It had rubber on the bottom and came with a really cool spoon. It worked well for us :)
best of luck,
Lenc

Hi! I just got some bowls from Sassy that came with a suction that fits all three size bowls. They are all BPA free and PVC free, etc. They have lids too. I got them as an eating kit from The Soft Landing Blog (just google it) but I am sure you can find it elsewhere on the web or in stores too. Good luck!

Another way to prevent the bowl from sliding is to put a damp cloth under the bowl. Of course this won't stop her from picking it up and dropping it on the floor. lol

I agree, the Sassy suction bowls with lids are great. They come in sets of 3, if I recall correctly. Babies R Us is a good place to find them, and I know some grocery stores carry them, too. (We also tried Pottery Barn's suction bowls, and they didn't work well at all -- very cute bowls, suction, not so much.)

They don't work! A large mat combined with either a puppy or sturdy vacuum are probably your best options.

It may work for you, but that type of bowl did nothing for me. My daughter spent more time figuring out how to pull the bowl up than she did eating!
