Does anyone know of swimming lessons? I am willing to do either public or private in either Fairfield or New Haven county.

I know that the Shelton Community Center offers ongoing swimming lessons. If you look online, you can see the dates/times the sessions start and when you can register. You don't have to be a member or a resident of Shelton (we aren't) but the fees are slightly higher in that case. I am signing my 6 yr old son up next week.

Check into your town's park and rec. Most towns have a parks and rec dept. and most offer swimming lessons. Some even offer private lessons and/or group lessons. Also, I believe every YMCA offers swimming lessons too.

All of the local YMCAs are great. I had my daughter in classes at the Fairfield Y and all the teachers there are great. We especially like Erin.
