I'm looking for a star wars themed cake. I want something that will plow my son's mind when he sees it.

Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Kroger has a very colorful edible starwars picture that you can actually have put on the cake. I made my sons cake two tiered. I put the picture to one side of a sheet cake and on the blank sheet cake side I stacked a small cake on top of it. I placed his star wars figures on top. You could use the figures in a mock lightsaber battle on top of the smaller cake. (or small ships if you have them) My child is allergic to colors in frostings, so my smaller figures smaller tier on the cake had no colors in the frosting, but you could use colored frosting to make it look like they are fighting on top of rocks. (or brown sugar)

Starwars themed cake is so much fun to do. Good luck with yours.

Check out Frost Art Bakery at http://www.frostedart.com/ I know for a fact that they have a Star Wars cake as I've seen a picture of the ship in their books. My sister is having her wedding cakes done from them and I must say, the cakes are delicious! And they are super nice :)

Are you thinking about doing your own? My husband has a Daarth Vader cake pan that is very cool - you can find them on ebay, and I am sure they have other characters, too. Or contact a candy and cake decorating shop. Have you looked at the bakery in your local groceries or walmart? They might have something in their books, too. Good luck - may the force be with you ;).

Great bakery on E. Lancaster, Creme de la Creme. Google it. I have seen two of their Star Wars-themed cakes, they are moist and delicious, and the cakes are phenomenal. I can personally recommend them from about 6 or 8 awesome birthday party cakes my family has ordered and consumed.
